Anyone use a rolling jack bridge? Wondering about clearance with those?

I have a rolling jack, its too tall for a couple of our cars. Usually driving the car onto a 2x12 is enough. Another option is to lower the car onto jack stands.

I'm assuming some rolling bridge jacks are different? We shall see.

Anyone bolt down their 4 post lift?

I bolted mine down. Don’t think it’s safe not to....
Doing research it seems more people don't bolt them down. I mean, they make casters to move them around.

I'll be asking the installers about it tomorrow.

Edit: per Advantage lift website, they don't recommend bolting their 4 post lifts down.

Interesting.

That is very interesting. Have you found any information that suggests why they don't recommend bolting them down?

I'd be interested in hearing why they don't recommend bolting them down as well. Makes no sense.

I haven't found any information. Instructions show how to to anchor it, but it's NOT recommended.

These footings are 12x12". Seems really sturdy.

Damn man! Now it's a shop! My shop build is temporarily on hold but your shop keeps giving me ideas and envy. I keep going back and forth on 2 post or 4 post? Looking good!

Thanks man! I changed oil on the 90 coupe yesterday, first time using the lift for maintenance work. Made an oil change so easy!

I have a Benpak HD9 and the manual says bolting it down is optional unless you are using a bridge jack then it must be bolted down. I also have their standard (they also make a low profile) bridgejack but the subframe connectors don't quit clear it
