I am running 315/35 Hoosiers on the rear of my 00'R on Stock rims, springs & no spacers. Does not rub at all. IDK what this "Max of 285s" is all about...

The 18x9.5" rim has a max rating of a 285 series tire... To run a 295 series tire you need at least a 10" wide rim. Now, tire sizes between manufactures and even different models dramatically very between each other. So could you run a 295 series tire on a 9.5" rim... Sure! Look at the specs between Nitto and BFG tires in the same size. I hope that helps.

With a 315 series tire, I would imagine you have a pretty big bulge in your sidewall.. Post a picture please.

I was concerned that there would be a massive bulge as well, but no more than the 275 Nitto 555's that were on there.

Looking for the paint manufacturer of
Paint code ES performance red
For the 2000 cobra r. Would like to paint a splitter with the oe paint if possible.

Also I am looking for a great show quality restoration shop the dallas-fort Worth area. Looking for someone who understands the importance of the car being original as my car is a low mileage .

I was wondering if there was an original owner of a 2000 Cobra R that would be able to list all the things that they received from Ford and
SVT when they purchase the car new as there seems to be all kinds of information as far as what was actually given to the owners and what was accumulated afterwards, so if an original owner could list the all the individual items that they received when they pick the car up new or was mailed direct to the original owner. I think it would be great information for all current 2000 Cobra R owners and Future 2000 Cobra R owners that we're not the original owners. Maybe we can set a standard as to what was original documentation and what was added documentation.
I am the Proud owner of 2000 R #205
As I purchase my car with the understanding that all the original documentation would come with the car. I have found out since I have owned it that this was not true. I have been able to accumulate some stuff , IE: The welcome page in the black binder and the supplement owners manual. But the standard smaller black soft 2000 Mustang manual is missing. Which I'm sure will pop up on eBay at some time. It made me wonder what else I'm missing. As I believe that proper documentation is going to being important to the value of these cars in the future.
Thank you
Bill

the cars came with all the standard mustang paperwork

window sticker, owners manual, maintenance guide, warranty card, tire info guide

the 2000r's also came with a supplemental owners guide, an eibach spring pamflet, stickers, and the postcard telling owners to contact SVT for the black binder

the binder came with the dash plaque, certificate of authenticity, welcome letter, assembly photos, performance info, and personnel invovled in the project

Anyone know the original part number for the serpentine belt and also the length?

Dave - The thread below has the original 2000 Cobra R belt number in one of the posts. I had removed the original belts from my 93, 95 and 00 R's to preserve the original ink stamp identifiers and also researched and found Ford/Motorcraft replacement belts of the correct length for a "factory belt look". I have since sold those belts, I thought I had posted the info. in this forum (years ago), but I can't find it now.........

Thanks @Robert M

next question, correct part number for coil packs ?

I’ve got the spark plug numbers from a few pages back.

4l7e-12a366-aa is the part number on my original coil packs
Motorcraft DG-543 is an individual replacement coil
M-12029-4V is the ford racing kit with all 8 coils.
Motorcraft SP471 is the replacement park plugs

The 4l7e-12a366-aa is fords latest 4v for the 4.6/5.4 coil pack thats what came on the gt500. It works on the 2000 cobra r's also but its not correct part number wise if you want period correct.

Here is another pic of 2 of the original coils from my 00R

f7lu-12a366-cc appears to be the number on the sticker on the coil pack.

Just a suggestion. Consider creating a one page website for the 2000-R FAQs, similar to my Terminator FAQs. The big advantage is that all of the content is on one page, making it easier to find answers to questions than browsing through a thread that grows in size over time. You can also solicit info on the site. Creating the website would be pretty straight forward since it's only one page. The domain name is cheap. Hosting can be dirt cheap, too. I use DreamHost. Just a thought.
