It's 70% right now. I probably won't see 85% until mid July. Since I now have the space I've thought about buying a 55 drum of some better E85.

I spent $400 a barrel for VP, using it to blend as the last barrel I sent out with a friend to a pump(out of state) came back e60

I definitely don't want E60. I have higher stuff at the pump. Did you want E60?

I guess it's hard to beat the price I pay at the pump as long as it's still available. But who knows for how long.

I've never had one issue with ethanol going "bad". And I've stored for up to nine months with no treatment at all. Tested identical. Ran flawless. In fact, I've yet to see anyone post that their ethanol has gone bad, or posted a picture of the fuel or components contaminated or failed.

What I have seen is posts about pump gas going bad. Even treated. Then it had to be drained an disposed of.

There are ten bazillion things to worry about on these cars.....ethanol going bad barely registers on the list.

It was labeled as e85 at the pump, but the small print said only guaranteed a min of e50. I tested when I got in back and was e60. Bummer. But, we have to the closest pumps are 300-500 miles away and usually not a high volume station for e85. I get about 1 crappy barrel a year(I use 2-3 a year). I wish we had a station around here that would carry it.

Oh man, what a pita tuning has been. I got a base tune, finally, and then sent two data logs. I’m currently waiting on a revised tune. I began the remote tune process on March 18th. I don’t know what the hold up is, but I usually hear back from the tuner every two to three weeks. I imagine I have maybe two data logs left, so probably by the mid-term elections I should be good to go.

That with Kevin?

Finally finished my winter mods and took the car out for a short cruise.

PC valve covers then CF hyrdo dipped them. They look so sick in person. PC the calipers, new rear calipers, CF leather with white stitching on interior, alpine head unit.

Still need to re-dip the intake and some new coil covers. Coming along nicely.

I like the new hydro dipped valve covers. Nice job.

Renewed the registration for the summer, oil change, coolant change and swapped out the 40lb Optima for a 10lb Lithium battery. Needed a new battery tray because the old one was heavily modded to fit the Optima Red Top. Also added a Steve Meade Designs fuse block with 2 x 200 amp fuses for the alternator and sound system.

Wow, all of those mods are really, really nice! I especially LOVE the hydro-dipped valve covers and the arm rest. Quality there!!

Replaced the factory supercharger belt. Took about 25 mins. At cold starts, there was a constant “chirping” noise until the motor warmed up. I changed the supercharger oil, thinking that may resolve the issue, but it did not. The new belt was the solution!

Just a heads-up if the chirp comes back after a few weeks it's usually a pulley alignment issue with the tensioner or alternator.

Those terminals and fuse block are really nice. I might have to steal your idea in the future.

completed my right of passage as a Cobra owner and shredded a brand new belt that was just put on after doing an alternator swap. Everything looked good on pulley side but apparently there's something off with the pulley on the alternator. Lasted about 20 mins and it came apart. Thinking of just putting the other alternator back on and figuring out this problem later on since the car is going to a shop hopefully soon once I work out details on it for some go fast parts.

That's the first Lithium Ion car battery I've seen. How expensive was it? Compared to the Optima Red Top?

Where did you buy that battery? Interested in how it holds up. I'm thinking about replacing my motorcraft one soon. It's nearly 10 years old.
