THAT was great. It would have been ever better if just after Rick grabbed the flag both teams erupted onto the field, chased the two protesters and gave them a good thumping. Just enough to make them remember how stupid that act was.

That guy has an awesome voice. After hearing him sing John Denver's 'Country Roads', I'd love to hear him do a Glen Campbell song or two.

Awww, that was really cute. I was never a cat person until my granddaughter got her kitten. She's now almost a year old (the cat) and she's so loveable. Kittens generally are really adorable.

So my son made his decision to keep playing basketball at the college level and decided on a school. This was a dream of his, and he worked and made it happen. He had a few choices but at end of the day he like Penn State University-Greater Allegheny.

I am proud of my son and hope he continues to grow as a basketball player. But more importantly. Get his degree in IT security and Computer science. I wasn't disciplined enough to finish college. And my son has a better head on his shoulders then I did at that age.

Congrats to Him and You.
My son is a wrestler, now in his junior year, and the NCAA's decision to extend their eligibility due to covid has him staying on for his master's after his senior year. All this kid wants to do is wrestle, it's been great for him as the sport comes with a great deal of discipline both physically and academically. He's consistently a scholar all-american and so far as high a 5th in NYS for 174lbs. He's going for a phy-ed degree so he can coach and wants to eventually coach at the college level. Not the most lucrative career choices, but following his dream.

Thanks and congrats to your son as well. Sounds like he is a stud on the mat. My son wrestled for 5 yrs, but then middle school he had to choose between basketball and wrestling. But he always enjoyed the mat. But the love for basketball won.
But the lessons learned in wrestling are tremendous to all other sports. Wrestling teaches self discipline and it teaches you core strength and having a good base. All this translates into other sports.

THAT'S the most important choice he could make. I'm sure he'll do very well and truly enjoy his career choice. Some choose the money end, and too often they're just not fulfilled. Money really can't buy true happiness. It HELPS, but it doesn't replace chasing your true dream career.

Amen. My daughter (our oldest) is a special education teacher and has a masters degree in ABA (Advanced Behavior Analysis) that she earned from a full ride at Vanderbilt University. She specializes in pre-school children with Autism. Couldn't be prouder that our kids thrive to teach and guide the younger generations.

I can totally understand how proud you are of your daughter. A very noble and important degree! Two of our granddaughters are in nursing schools (one graduates next week) which the other has 2 more years. Their older sister is a personal trainer. All three are committed to helping others. The two in nursing school chose that profession in large part because they greatly respected the nurses who cared for their dad, who passed 5 years ago from a horrific brain disease. They want to help others now through nursing. We're so proud of them, and I now their dad is looking down from Heaven with so much pride and joy.

My son is the youngest on his team playing 8U football. He is 5'3" 120lbs at the time of these pictures. He is estimated to be 6'4 to 6'6 once he reaches adulthood. I have more fun watching him grow and play this sport than I do anything else. If he doesn't play D1 ball, then it is his own fault. Proud pop here folks. #42, and in the white Jersey. Left Tackle on offense and Nose on D. Youth All conference at both positions.
