What's the best adhesive/sealer for lens covers these days?
Back in the day we switched these things all the time but I guess there was enough factory sealant left on them there was never an issue.
I knew they were loose, but I almost lost the passenger side after about a 50 mile cruise. I did have luck with the drivers side using black Permatex but the other side is not sealed tight enough. I did pick up a tube of windshield sealant adhesive to try next. Anything else?

Butyl tape is what you want to use. Locap parts stores sell a roll in the aisle where you will find permatex gasket maker. There are clips that also reinforce the lens as well to hold it on.

I'll probably do some stuff to mine over the weekend. I bought new adjustable shocks and struts. New lower control arms just cause I don't like the ones currently on there and new splash shields that LMR started making.

Sounds like fun! I took the whole week off. Hopefully get mine out some, still have winter gas in the tank I need to burn up.

Shopping around for 347 stroker kits. Friend of mine will be building me a short block at some point.

My friend is a mechanic. He built my old 347 about 20 years ago.

She's ready to head off to paint for her new 93 Cobra rear, lots of welding, grinding, scraping, and cleaning but it all pays off. Cleaned up a ton of holes, re-seam sealed everything and finished it off with POR-15, and new Flowmaster tail pipes.

Let the fun begin. Coolant leak. I believe it's the water pump gasket on the back side.

Debating on replacing the water pump while I'm at it. Sucks because it's an Edelbrock which I was told it was installed 2018. I would also have to really clean up the backing plate.

Might replace the timing cover too.
