30 years in the construction industry with the last 20 in historical restorations has allowed me to be in a lot of buildings where things have taken place. Buildings that contained gallows, where murders and massacre's have taken place.
Once in late Fall I was closing up a house after doing a 3 hour fire watch. Meaning I was there 3 hours after everyone packed up for the day. The house is called the Hancock house in Salem NJ Hancock House (Lower Alloways Creek Township, New Jersey) - Wikipedia
There a bunch of Americans were slaughtered in the attic by the Red Coats. At some point I went up there in the dimly lit attic and just stood there alone and then all of sudden out of nowhere nothing happened. Bam no weird feelings, no cold chills, no Bruce Willis, nothing. I wanted to feel or see something but didn't.
I will say this I've also walked into rooms in some of these old places and gotten feelings, like chills and the hair stands up on the back of your neck. You can feel an energy or vibe sometimes good and sometimes bad. I can't say I've seen anything or heard voices.
I have been woken up like someone is touching me and then a cold chill and tingling feeling will come over me and I feel like something is there almost weighing me down. Creeps me the F out.
Edit: 2 weeks ago I was woken up to the sound of my dog playing in the hallway at 3 am. I can hear his paws and jingling collar. I'm like wtf I don't care I'm going back to sleep. Turns out my son left the cat upstairs and they were having a early morning pillow fight.

Not really relatable to the current discussion but tripy none the less. When I was about 25 I was living in Charleston where I eventually retired. I took a nap and when I woke up my body was ripping a poster off the wall into little pieces. I was awake taking in information but I was absolutely not in control of my body. This seemed forever but I have no doubt it was only a second or two. That's explainable....but we usually don't overlap consciousness and subconsciousness like this. The Poster you ask? A hot Indian chic on an Indian motorcycle....no idea.

I went to the 4th most haunted place on earth, according to someone who can grant that title, I guess.
I went in with the mindset I was going to see something, pumped myself up, kept my phone out and took videos and pictures of the more haunted spots. I went back through my photos and videos to see if there was anything on them and there wasn't.
That was the closest I've ever been to being haunted I think.
My sister thinks her house is haunted, she has videos but they are dust particles that move across the room and up the stairs.

About 20 years ago I worked nearly everyday with a guy. He was in his 50's and seemed healthy enough. One night, out of nowhere really, I woke up in the middle of the night with the knowledge that this guy had passed away moments before I woke.
I went in to work the next day, and sure enough he had died the night before at the same time I woke up.
To this day, this is the second strangest supernatural experience I've had.

I had a similar experience in the Marines when my squad leader died in a car accident the night before with his wife and two dogs when they hit a pole on the freeway and his truck burst into flames right after. We were with them that Saturday night and they took off while having a fight and none of us knew what happened to them until the following Monday when he never showed up and we found a news report about a fiery accident involving a Silverado around that time Saturday night nearby where we were, and at that point we all knew it was them. Before that though on Sunday morning I went out to get a haircut and on my way back to base I got this incredibly dark feeling in my spirit and I knew something bad had happened but I didn't know what or to who. It was just so dark it made me sick to my stomach and depressed to the point I got to my barracks room and crawled under the covers and passed out the entire rest of the day only to find out what happened the following morning when my platoon sergeant was looking on his phone and found the story about the incident. That was a rough time, but I know I sensed it while having no idea what had happened at the time.
