That wood-pecker pecking the metal (????) is exactly what a woodpecker is doing occasionally on my METAL roof gutter and my next door neighbor's METAL roof gutter. We have loads of juicy partially dead tree 100' away in the woods with insects under the bark, but he insists on pecking sheet metal. Weird.

Ah, just found the answer.

Why do woodpeckers peck on metal gutters?
Woodpeckers will commonly use anything metal to “sound”. The types of metal they love to use will include chimney caps, metal siding and rain gutters. The sound the woodpeckers are creating is used to mark territory and communicate with other birds of their species. This behavior tends to be most prevalent during the spring but it can continue year round.

Well, that's a bit of a relief because I was concerned our woodpecker might start pecking at the vinyl siding.

Caught one rapid firing on my front door frame, thought he was tarded. And now I know.

Yeah, I know. My local woodpecker hasn't returned to our gutter for 2 days now. He was coming daily right around 8AM. Must have gotten a severe headache and is taking it easy to recover. LOL.

Owl I snuck up on. Closest I've ever been. Just wish the phone camera did a better job.

ALL of the above! Including her cuteness! I remember when our granddaughter got an electric car when she was about the same age. She loved that thing.

My son had a jeep. This was before the 20-24v and available drill batteries deal. He would drain a battery in 30 min tops. I put in an Odyssey 12v battery I had lying around, would go for a month before needing a charge. My wife and I swore he put a 100,000 miles on that thing.

Did that actually really work that good? My grandkids would kill the battery in the cars in no time. I may have more coming.

Yes it did. The main problem was finding a place to put it. My kid didn't care he just wanted to ride, so I cut out some of the back plastic to fit it.
