This is the F-150 Raptor R. While Ford just recently debuted the third-generation Raptor back in February, they only gave us a look at the tamer version with the 3.5L EcoBoost. These shots show that the Raptor R will have a unique grille and appears to have beefier trailing arms. It’s rumored that the rims are exclusive to the R, and as everyone knows by now, it’ll have the heart and soul of the GT500—the Predator 5.2L supercharged V8.

According to sources, the R will pump out around 725 to 750 hp, probably closer to 750 hp, especially since the GT500 puts out 760 hp. One source said “Honestly, we had to counter Ram once we knew they installed the HellCat in the TRX”. The team is allegedly looking to beat the Ram TRX in every facet of the Raptor R.

The ’21 F-150 Raptor will be assembled at Ford’s Dearborn Truck Plant, and will be available at dealers this summer. The Raptor R is expected to debut later this year with an on-sale date in 2022.

They’ve showed their hand, wonder how hard it will be for Dodge to match.

Sarcasm enclosed...
As much I want to hate on Dodge I gotta give respect where respect is due. They didn't pussy out like Ford did with the stupid ecoboost. They built the acr (which is still one of the all time best track cars). Ford did great with the gt350 but now that's a gonner :( i know a lot of this is epa the blame but we are still living in a good era (for now).

They could drop down a pulley size and add a carbon fiber body panel package. Or offer a stripper version of the truck as a limited edition with power bump.

So what's the over/under on this thing having an iron block?

I can see it for the weight savings, especially with the charger but I would consider them foolish to not use and iron block. Thermal stability and vibration damping when subjected to long intense load, like a true desert runner would endure, would make me want the iron block and I’m a stickler for weight savings especially over the nose of a vehicle.

80/20 for iron...

Shut your whore mouth and give credit where credit is due...

I had an ACR...currently have a Comp Coupe....as a Ford dealer. That's plenty of credit given.

The funny thing you said is that the GT350 is now gone...and then bring up how great the ACR is... the 350 was produced 3 years after the ACR was.

If you couldn't tell, I was being sarcastic in my response. Yes, to further emulate what I said the ACR and GT350 are both amazing. Furthermore, the ACR still holds a few track records many years later. Does the GT350? That's where credit is due to Dodge.........

I don't disagree. Definitely different class cars though. lol

The ACR was/is an absolute monster. I would venture to bet that it's the most track capable production street car on the planet, that a blue collar guy can wrench on and maintain. It's as reliable as a John Deere.

A friend of mine runs his Viper in the Arizona NASA region. He has 13 or so track records out there. His car is far from stock though. It's a converted GTS that has all of the aero of an ACR and weighs 2900#. It also has Prefix's 9.0L Extreme engine that is about 800rwhp naturally aspirated and a 6XD Sequential.

Damn thats crazy. I track with a guy (with my 997 gt3) that has an ACR Aero Xtreme (or whatever you call them) and had a heads/cam on it. I hit 170 at Daytona in my GT3, he hits like 190 LOL
