1st. Radiator. I want to change out my OEM one for a Mishimoto one. I do not remember how the hell to tell if my 96 cobra has had the coolant system TSB done to update it to the 97 cobra version. Is it just the mounts are more triangular?
How can I tell? And if I buy the 97 version radiator, is it that much of a pain to make that work in a non updated car?

2nd. Injectors.
I want to replace my stock injectors with some new ones. I want to stick with 24# for now so I don't need to adjust my tune, and I don't really need more then that currently. Pretty sure mine are EV1 (I'm not near the car). Has anyone used the EV1 to EV6 connectors? IF so experience any issues?
Otherwise if I used these
Bosch Mustang Type III Fuel Injectors - EV1 - Jetronic - 24lb (86-04)

Would that work since they are not the same design as the short fat stubby EV1s ?

Thanks in advance guys!

Why not just go oem ev1s? I'm pretty sure you can still get them around the 200 mark. I've actually got mine out of the car and can get you a part number

If you're wanting a Mishi Radiator (awesome quality) I believe this is the one you need for your 96 Cobra:
MMRAD-MUS-96B

This would be the one for a 1997:
MMRAD-MUS-97B

Double check with Mishi by calling them just to verify part # before placing your order anywhere online.

I'm not aware of any physical differences between the 1996 and 1997 Cobra mounts, rad core support or even the actual hoses - that should all be the same up to 1998. So I'm not sure why Mishi's site has such a price variance for what should be the same rad core and fittings.

As for the 1996 Cooling upgrade:
The Cooling upgrade is Article 96-25-12

The original Ford upgrade package was:
KIT-F6ZZ-8005-JA

If the upgrade has been done on any 1996 Cobra, the replacement radiator should have part # F7ZH-8005-BC.

The upgrade basically changed over to the 97 Cobra components. Larger rad, condenser had less fins on the core to allow greater air passage through the A/C condenser through to the radiator and honeycomb grille was deleted.

I have attached the actual PDF doc for 96-25-12 in the event anyone needs it for future reference.

Now here's the biggie... if you're set on a Mishi Rad, order it on Amazon. The current price at Mishi's site is $358 for part #MMRAD-MUS-96B, on Amazon with Free Shipping it's currently $333. That's $333 before any applicable Amazon perks or offers (if you have any available to you). It's direct from Mishi's Amazon store, not some 3rd party retailer.

For the Mishi MMRAD-MUS-97B:
Mishi site price: $347
Amazon: $319

----------

To give you an idea of savings - I just ordered a Mishi rad last month for my 94 Cobra to replace the POS Fluidyne. On Mishi's site it retails for $351. On Amazon, it was listed for $312. I had a prior Amazon $50 credit, had an open invite offer that if I added another Credit card to my Amazon acct, I could get another $25 off and free shipping credit of another $20.

My total cost shipped to my door was only $256! Had I ordered the same Mishi Rad directly from their site OR any other online parts vendor, was was looking at nearly a $365-$376 bill with tax and in some cases shipping costs.

Now granted I had a $50 credit - but even if I didn't have that OR their additional $25 credit offer, Amazon was the absolute best price from anything I found online elsewhere for the same exact part.

Shop around before just plunking your $$$ down, you never know what deals you can get!!

Thanks for the info, specially with using amazon. Didnt even think about that vs going with AM. Swore the mounting was different for the 97. Just annoying to try to find. That and I need to go actually look at my car. Havnt seen it in like 9 months haha
