Did anyone here make the cut for a 21 MY? My reservation was converted but under a priority code 99 so I haven't actually spec'd mine out and it will most likely be ordered as a 22 when I actually get to pick my options. Curious how every one else's experiences have been so far.

2dr Badlands stick 21. If it were to push back to 22 I’d get the stick and sas.

It's a cluster.

I received 50 reservations, I get 12 2021 allocations to be built.

I had to convert ALL 50 reservations (as long as the customers still wanted Broncos). At that point, I change the 12 to priority code 10, and leave the other 38 as 99s.

In the remarks section of the 38, I have to put "Waiting for MY22".

This whole process has been a nightmare for PR and customer relations.

I ordered for 21 the first day it was available to do so.

They called me in December to firm up things and to pick a color etc. Than she called me back maybe 3 months ago and told me it was going to be 2022.

Here is an email from Feb where they asked for my "permission" to change the 22 reservation to an order for 2022.

Sorry I should have clarified better. I ordered the 21 on the first day it was available too (the day they had the release of the 2021 bronco). I had reservation for badlands. When she told me they couldn't get my order for the 21 and asked if I still wanted to for 22 I told her that was fine. I am going to get the sasquatch with the manual. I am hoping the larger engine will be available for that package for 2022.

I understand that. Since I could not find any definitive difference from the badlands to the badlands sas besides the wheels and tires for my wants a badlands with methods and 35x12.5 MT is good for me. 2dr 3 pedals Badlands FTW!
Im glad there are those waiting for the sas stick!

Yeah between all the setbacks and my wife having mood swings from being 6 months pregnant she wanted to cancel it a few times. I had to calm her down and bring her back to her senses a few times lol. She's been less than thrilled with the rollout which I I can only blame partially on covid shortages. Ford's dropped the ball a few times as well.

I feel that Ford made a cluster out of something exciting. My family and I were planning to get one and were early on the list. Unfortunately, what we wanted didn’t have a guarantee to be ready in 2021. I hope it is successful for them and perhaps I’ll try again in 3yrs when my next lease is up.

That's the thing, it most definitely will be successful. MY21 was sold out within an hour or two. MY22 was sold out (assuming they can double production from MY21) within weeks. Ford is going to sell every single one they build for a year and a half, so in their brain, it's a win.

From a dealer, and consumers standpoint, it's a loss.

I have a first day reservation which puts me in the first 20% of reservations. #3 in line at my dealer with an order date of 1/20/2021. Order is a 4 door Big Bend with 4 cylinder, mid package, MIC top, and tube step. Mine will be a MY21, but haven't received the VIN yet.

I agree it's a loss for consumers. Leasing is my go-to and I need to have a solid understanding of when to expect things and for how much. I was over the Bronco when my dealer told that what I wanted would be next year unless I changed to something else, and even if I switched wouldn't have a committed "date". I'll lease one in a few years.

I don't feel bad for dealers. If I could buy direct I would. I care about consumers and it is a loss like you said. Why don't you feel bad for dealers exactly? Just out of curiosity.

Ha! I changed my post about the same time you quoted me. I dislike the dealership model and have never had a good experience. I'd prefer to buy direct. Not much more to say really.

I can’t stand direct buy. Give me an in person salesman/owner I trust every time. I find it very easy to distinguish between those pushing tin(for lack of a better phrase) than those who care for the customer. Buy from Nick or similar and you will never want to buy from another dealer/direct buy Corp!

Don’t look now, a 11/17/20 reservation just got a 6/21/21 build week. So much for this time stamp crap!!

Ford allowed dealers 1 Priority Order.

It's complete bullshit, and I told Ford to kick rocks.
