Plus he was never even assaultive. Active resistant yes, but give me a break. Cuffed with 4 officers.

Isn't this complicated by the crowd? They were surrounded by an increasingly hostile crowd. This would take away from the officer's ability to secure him in a more timely manner.

While I'm not a fan of social media, the social media post of this incident is the number one reason and the largest piece of evidence of this case. You must be willing to accept reality when when it slaps you in the face
That video is only part of the story. It may be enough to prove a murder, but it is not the only evidence in the case. The facts in the hearing are what need to be used for such ruling. Social media is not judge, jury, and executioner as many folks think it is.

the only evidence in the case.

The video contains little to no evidence. Like you said, this may be enough to convict (maybe manslaughter, doubtful on murder 2/3) but the only evidence that it provides is that Chauvin used an approved restraint for longer than was necessary.

I agree this will not be a murder conviction. But the most damn evidence is the 9 min video. Of the officers kneeling on Mr. Floyd. After he has been cuffed and no longer a threat. He should of been sat up right. That is what a reasonable officer would do.

The prosecution won't give immunity to the drug dealer, since he would blow the case sky high by testifying about Floyd's drug ingestion.

The prosecution called an expert so favorable to the defense that the defense is calling him as one of THEIR experts, LOL.

Hearing the term "but for" thrown around in conjunction with Floyd having OD'd. Is that something a jury would understand?

Never heard of Quirks.com. so if this is your only reference of opinion, im not sure i can help you.

As to getting back on topic, what information can you bring to the table? So far i have only seen that you dont believe the video on the open web is enough evidence for your opinions.

Ok, so you're so misguided on what a moderator should be doing, that you are challenging the source of reference, instead of reflecting on the point? Wow, i suggest you do a search on your own and hopefully you can learn from other sources that which you respect on what a moderator should be doing.

I agree that the video is not judge jury or executioner the point I'm making is that there would be no trial if it weren't for that social media post containing the video of that officers action

Youve clearly already made your decision on what happened. I havent seen anything other than the video afterword. If you have, please enlighten me.

Im waiting to see what the jury says based on what evidence is presented. Thats kinda what matters, at least to civil people.

It’s pretty simple from a policy and training perspective.

But if you don’t have any LE experience, you wouldn’t understand. Maybe you do? I don’t know.

Everyone keeps saying play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Lol. Look who is in the hot seat now.

Can’t see that being used/justified by the defense.

In fact, if a crowd is forming, first thing you’d want to do is secure your subject so you can take action if needed.

Didn’t see any effort by the subject to get up or squirm away; one officer could have handled him.

I didn’t see the asian officer even getting what I’d call excited dealing with the crowd. Tells me they weren’t hostile.

Plus, we’re expected to work through that.

This is where he was wrong, which I keep trying to explain.

Pros: why did you decide to restrain him on the ground.

DC: He actively resisted arrest, forced himself out of the unit, and we were having trouble controlling the subject.

Pros: ok. Understood. Do you feel you had him under control after a few moments on the ground?

DC: Uhhhhhh...

Pros: Take a look at the image of 1 min on the ground. Did you have him under control? Was he still resisting?

DC: Uhhhhh.....

They can’t say that they didn’t have him under control or that he was a physical threat.

Now anybody understand why 9 min is a ****ing eternity? I wouldn’t be able to explain my way out of it
