Have an 11 GT very and I am trying to decide on wheels. Have the 19" Brembo wheels that I like but are heavy as hell. Was thinking of some Apex ec7 in 18x10 or one of the rotary forged sve options in 19". My car is black so I like the bright silver finishes. Anyone have any thoughts on either of these wheels or any other lighter weight affordable options in silver?

There's also Forgestar (Apex's EC-7 closely resembles Forgestar's F14). I have the Forgestars in 18x11, chiefly for road course time but they have seen a fair amount of street time as well. Except for being a bit dirty at the moment (and me not being much of a detailing guy at all), they're as good as the day I pulled them out of the boxes. I doubt there's enough difference between those two wheels in terms of strength or durability or anything else to matter.

The F14's are on the car as shown in my sig pic but not in my avatar pic.

Thanks for the info. I realize your are on track and probably a good deal of camber but what size tire are you running on those?

285/35-18 MPSS. Actual section width as mounted on 11" wheels is right at 300mm.

Camber is in the -1.9° to -2.0° range. Really not quite enough for the track, but not too much for the street as long as you mix a fair bit of hard cornering into your driving (maybe call that 5/10ths driving).

Thoughts on the mpss vs a 200tw like an r88r or re71r? I am a weekend only car, but do have a low boost blower, maybe 500whp. I see everyone loves the mpss/mps4. Just wonder if I will still be skating through second gear. Tires that cam on it are ohtsus.

Neither of those Michelins is going to be as grippy as a 200-tw autocross special in the dry, but they're better in the wet. At 500ft*lbs, I suspect you're going to have second-gear traction issues with most any street tire, and the MPSS and PS4S really have more of a road course focus as opposed to straight line sprints.

Thanks. Keep hoping someone tells me different. Guess I will go with the stickier autocross route.

Love the Apex SM-10 Mustang 19x10' ET 40 Anthracite wheels. Knurled bead, beefier lip, accepts factory lug nuts, a hair over 23 lbs and would look great on a black car.

@Rb0891 Like those wheels too, they don't paint the lug nut holes, flow formed and a hell of a lot lighter than factory cast wheels.

Go with forged wheels and not "flow forged/austrian forged/flow formed" a/k/a cast.
