Since this got revived, purchased new May 04 as a leftover. Still love it every time I fire it up.
Not original, but I've had her since November of 2007. Been through a lot with her too. People who havent ridden in one, just dont understand it. It's old, rickety, squeaks all over, but I love it. She has been treated well and driven hard. Kind of like me.....haha. This car will go to my son when I die. Not going anywhere.
What's the plan? Not sure if I posted in here or not but still have mine I bought new off the lot in October 2003.
I will never get rid of it despite it being DOA and sitting in my garage needing an engine for the last 12 years. 11,400 miles on her and there have only been about 500 miles put on in the last 15 years.
That’s all changing real soon!
Ken
I’d be holding onto to that 69 Mach 1 too!I bought mine from the original owner with 74XX miles on it back in 2013 and plan to keep it forever.
Mine doesn't really move very much anymore just because its a hassle to move the car seat from one of the other vehicles into it all the time. My 3 year old knows that is called the Terminator and has been able to say that for at least a year, the last time she rode it in she said it scared her, but lets face it 800rwhp will scare a lot of people. Some day though when she's old enough I know it will be her favorite, there is just something about the old girl that always excites you when you drive it.
I still own my very first car- a 37 Ford, my senior high school car 69 Mach 1, and I just bought a 64 Falcon like I had in my early high school years. I've thought about it and if I ever have to thin the herd the 37 Ford or Terminator are last on the chopping block.
I have a brand new Aluminator block and DC casting FRPP/Roush ported heads. Going 10.5:1 compression with Gibtec pistons which are one of the last things I need at this point. I already have Molnar power adder rods, block, heads, a brand new set of cloyes adjustable cam gears with double of everything except primary gears only one set of those that I stumbled across on eBay a year and a half ago. I have ARP everything and upgraded to the larger tensioner arm pivot stud, billet geared Boundry GT 500 oil pump, upgraded passenger side tensioner, I have a brand new set of ARH 1-7/8” x 3” headers and matching off-road x pipe, and just got tracking info that my Gen5 3.0 Whipple has left Whipple and will be here Thursday. All controlled by the MS3-Pro PnP ecu sitting on my shelf. Still have to get a custom spec set of cams, and a few odds and ends like IW balancer with Metco adapter and 4lb lower, water pump, and one other big item being a triple pump return style fuel system for e85 along with 220 lbs injectors (since I can run low imp injectors with the MS3) and a thats about it lol. Probably more info then you were asking for lmao. So in a nutshell a 10.5 brand new Aluminator build with ported heads/cams and Gen5 Whipple with 24-28 lbs of boost on corn with upgraded everything. all backed up with a Lentech 4r70w and a built 8.8 SRA that’s already in the car now! What's the plan?
Well, a year and a half has gone by since the last time I posted in this thread. I now have this car for over 17 years ( 01/19/2004) and it still gives me the same feeling that I had, the day I brought it home, 6685 miles ago. I bought this car right before my 57th birthday. Even though some days I feel like 74, when I get in this car, my brain, heart and right foot feel like I'm 24. If you have one, you know the feeling. Any way, here's a few pic's.

I’d be holding onto to that 69 Mach 1 too!
I have a 69 Mustang Fastback sitting in my dad’s garag that I’ve had since I was 17, so almost 30 years now!
What year Falcon? [edit: just reread and seen 64] I’ve been kicking around finding one for a project toy for a high winding N/A build. I was always partial to the 64-65 two door hard tops but like the size and rounded corners of the 59-63 as well.
I would love to see some pics of the Mach 1 and falcon if you have any floating around.
BTW, if I were you I would start a car seat fund and get another for the Cobra Maybe even get one of the racing seat versions that are completely legal and approved but look like an actual racing seat. I’ve seen them by either Sparko, Corbeau, Cobra or somebody like that. Have it done in matching colors to the interior.

Sorry for getting off topic
I'd take any of them in a heartbeat! Looks like you've done a fantastic job keeping them up and adding some comfort to them! Very nice!
Thanks, but to me it shows how special the Terminator is that its jumped past them all. I've had thoughts of selling them all in order to buy a 69 Boss 429 my one true dream car, but I really don't want to think about losing the Terminator. Its just such a special car, the go cart like handling, the looks, the massive power/torque available, last of the "old school" modern Muscle cars, the legendary status of it. These cars really check all the boxes, I think thats why the people that sell them come crawling back.
@cj428mach. Damn Mike. You have one hell of a nice collection.
Goes to show what you can have if you hold on to your cars and then buy another one without trading in or selling your old car.
I salute you sir!

When my Cleveland is ready for a rebuild, looking to go 408! Nice set of rides! Keep mine too. Only car I let go was my 69' Bug.Thanks Glenn I appreciate the compliment. I do tend to hold on to my stuff. I haven't gotten rid of much but what I do I mostly regret. The one that I lose sleep over was the 70 Mach 1 351C 4v factory shaker project car I had. It would have been so cool finished with a stroker 351C, EFI, overdrive and AC.
I'm very lucky to be able to have been able to hold on to the cars I do have though. Especially my very first car.
