Any of you guys own a 2017 or newer Superduty experience death wobble? I’ve had it happen twice now at 70mph or more. Makes you almost pee down your leg!

Anyone experienced it and actually fixed it?

Had it on my 08, they're all susceptible. I went to a front 4-link setup and have never had it again, but that's a bit extreme for most. Should be able to replace everything that is worn and get rid of it. Otherwise, I'd hit up One Up Offroad for some upgrades.

Truck has only 56,000 miles on stock suspension. I couldn’t really find any play in the front end. Possible play in the drag link. I upgraded the steering dampener but not to the dual dampener.

Have had multiple super duties. 2000, 2011,2015,2016,2017,2019 and just got a 2021. Got rid of the 2019 f350 crew diesel with some wobble issues. Seemed to really get bad when hitting a bump. The rest had no issues. Have seen a few that needed steering boxes over the years that we lifted. Bump steer is a big problem in these trucks also. Steering stabilizers will help but will not fix the problem.

Just watched a youtube video on this exact issue. The engineer said even the slightest play in bushings can cause it, older tires or improperly torqued drag link bolts. Anyway might be worth a watch for ya

It could be more worn than you think. Alignment can certainly help, the best part of going aftermarket is the adjustability too. Added a bit of caster with my 4 link and it drove much better. But really any play in the entire system is the cause of death wobble from my understanding. Even if one item seems fine, every little bit adds up.

I purchased a PMF dual steering stabilizer, new drag link ends and a PMF adjustable track bar. I just got the track bar last week and haven’t got to put it on yet.

I don’t know who to talk it to for an alignment because I’ve heard you don’t want to put it at stock specs.

Hit up the folks at PMF with your questions too. I have a full PMF setup front and rear on mine, they have been very very helpful even with some custom parts. They should have alignment suggestions too. In my case I just use the nearest Ford Dealer and have them go to my specs vs Ford's.

All good info guys. Much appreciated! I’m hoping to install everything when it all comes in. This is no fun when it happens!

Good luck Brother

It's a pain to dig into. The only death wobble experience I have was an old TJ I was looking to buy.

Legit thought I was dead lol

There's a recall out for the front stabilizer bar, it's 100% fixed 6 that I know of.
