You sure they know what they are taking about?

Maybe they ordered you a base instead.

I bet they took the order for a CFHP...turns out they can't get one and your order has to be a base.

ALL CFHP AND CFTP cars come with carbon wheels, period.

No, we built the car and I signed the their order form with the 10k cfhp option. The owner came out and explained the whole 'golden ticket' thing. I'm thinking he's confusing it with the cftp instead, but I didn't want to sound like dick and contradict him. I know someone that works for Lincoln and has contacts within Ford, he'll find out what the real deal is.

The CFHP is actually supposed to have lower production #'s then the CFTP, I think I remember seeing like 200 CFHP cars being produced. The dealer should know if they have an allocation for one, i wouldn't be surprised if they don't have an allocation and are just assuming you'll take a base when the order for the CFHP doesn't go through

Jez, why even bother to list an option with only 200 examples. I figured with absence of the 350 there would be more carbon rims to go around

You have to remember the 350R's didn't have 20" CF rims.
Point is, capacity has been somewhat of a limiting factor. CR has made considerable investment in order to raise the number of CF wheels (whether 19" or 20", doesn't matter) and with no more GT350R, CR can fill that void with increased production of wheels earmarked for the GT500.

Doesn't matter.

Dealer has one allocation left. Question is whether a cfHp is a 'golden ticket' like the cfTp?

It's definitely limited.

I'd bet they don't get a CFHP car.

So the latest on my cfhp optioned car. Today Brattleboro Ford in VT called and informed me the car I order would no longer be available at msrp and if I was still interested had to caught 5k over. The kicker is I had called the dealer and ask to speak to the GM about buying a GT500 at sticker. He assured me that they weren't "that type of dealer" and I would be able to order and buy at sticker. 5k over is not bad, what gets me is the blatant lie from the start...WTF

I believe the ONLY reason for the CFHP is to get rid of the cosmetic reject CFTP rims. The package doesn't really make sense from a manufacturing stand point. But sitting on all of the blem rims is $$$. Throw some paint on them and add them to the handling package and you sell them. The small number of these projected to be built further supports this. And, they are increasing CFTP for 2021.

The CFHP is more than just adding CF wheels to the existing handling package. There are also suspension upgrades that take advantage of the lighter wheels.

Not sure that is going to happen with this chip bullshit. Some are now saying GT500 production may end up being half (or less) than what it was in 2020.
