Curious what makes Twister Orange an extra cost color. There's no metal flake in it and it's not a tinted clearcoat either.

Yep, the marketing department got a pat on the back for finding a way to grab a bit more money for a desired color.I agree with you on that. Ford may have done research on desired colors. For example in the Terminator section most MC, SB and CO cars bring premiums in the Market. Maybe Ford feels they can charge more for Twister Orange because they feel it will be a desirable color.
Companies are "always" trying to cash in on anything they can. Just like the dealerships with their additional mark ups because a car itself is desirable. Sad, but true...
