Looking to put GT500 Mufflers on my 08 GT . . . Got headers and going catless, so I'm afraid aftermarket mufflers will be too loud.

Shipping might make this cost prohibitive given the relatively low value of the mufflers, but let me know if you have some and maybe it will work out. I'm located in Northern Virginia.

Condition will matter to me, especially the tips.

I have Borla Touring axle backs I’m removing this weekend from my 07 GT500, less than 2k, if you’re interested. Located in MD.

Hmmmm. They are described as slightly louder than stock, which still might be okay. Some have said they don't fit right up to the stock hangers, though.

Where are you located in MD?

They are pretty quiet, I also have stock headers and mid pipes. Fitment is great, I did have to adjust the mid pipes but everything lined up perfectly.

Frederick MD.

Okay, you're not too far (35 minutes) . . . so a meet-up point is certainly within reason. How much?

I have a set off of my wife's 07. Located in Richmond area. I could save you shipping costs and meet in the middle somewhere. PM me if interested.

Yea, when you go to a Ford parts website, they are the same part number. I *think* they used to be different with different exhaust tips, and Ford eventually consolidated them.

And now neither are available.

All is good - I got the Borla's from Ryan and will give them a shot. The description has them as nearly as quiet as stock.

I tried Borla Touring and they were only a smidge louder than stock.
I made a video here for reference. If not obnoxious is what you yearn for, this will do the trick

Well, I have Brenspeed B326 and Kooks headers. With cats, it pretty darn loud with "flow through" mufflers.

I can live with it, except I want to lose the cats, and I know that will likely put me in the obnoxious category. So, looking to counter catless with quieter mufflers. Hoping the Borlas will do just that

That video was free flowing otherwise.
You can hear how the stock compares to the Borla in all those clips.
I then went full retard to Corsa Sports and it was just dumb.
You will enjoy the Borla for what you are looking for.
It will sound pretty close to stock mufflers all else being equal. Don’t get me wrong, it will get loud at WOT as will stock mufflers, but no where near the levels of the straight through mufflers

Thanks.

But, in my case, the hope is Cats+Straight Through Mufflers = No Cats+Borla Touring .... at least in sheer volume.

Would be an added bonus if it cleaned up the raspy a little. Hoping that's the case since the catless mid pipe is also an H, while my current catted mid pipe is an X
