Help me educate some members what a GOLDEN TICKET GT500 is

What option(s) must a 2020 Gt500 have to be a GOLDEN TICKET car?

  • Carbon fiber track package & any stripes

Could I ask my well versed fellow members in this group to elaborate on what Ford calls the “GOLDEN TICKET” 2020 Shelby GT500?

List what Ford considers a GOLDEN TICKET car options wise.

when you post, could you post where you’re getting that information from and your back ground?

apparently if you’re a Ford Dealer you know more than literally ANYONE.

let me guess, multiple people told you it wasn’t a golden ticket because it’s a stripe delete car? Or they said something even more retarded like “it’s not a double golden ticket car though”

Any CFTP or base with painted stripe option
doesn’t have to have stripes, i think that’s everyone’s hang up.

You should play the lottery bud. You hit that spot on and I was to be made out to look bad when a moronic Ford dealer is the one who tried saying it. I politely corrected with factual information but a Neanderthal moderator “allowed it” due to he thinks the Ford dealer knows more than anyone.
Very unfortunate but comical at the same time.

I was more guessing facebook group, that is where i was seeing these terms. Either way, i may very well be wrong...but that is how I’ve understood it this entire time. @Snoopy49 posts are typically right on the money.

I saw both threads, and you definitely got jumped on by the regulars on this forum, who jumped on you with wrong information. It’s one thing to be wrong, but it’s another to double down after being wrong...

You probably didn’t help yourself by talking trash, but in your defense, I would have shit talked people who came into my thread spouting off misinformation too.

Thanks for posting that, now I’m even more confused lol. So i could get a “golden ticket” allocation and then I’d turn it into simply a CFTP car because I’m not a stripe guy...

But it started as a golden ticket...

But the definition on that image is pretty cut and dry...

I give up.

To me, its cut and dry.
Golden ticket allows the ability to build a CFTP have painted stripes or have both. Don't need both for a golden ticket car. It's just poor wording but that's no suprise given that this is Ford and it seems people still don't know what's supposed to be included in the base handling package car..

Similar scenario when a certain other popular in the know person claimed the ecoboost in the FGT had nothing to do with marketing.

I agree, but if one takes the first sentence in the yellow literally, well, that’s THE definition of a golden ticket. But yeah, i think they unknowingly contradicted themselves...as golden ticket is also simply the name of the special allocation... which includes choices.

The golden ticket is a special allocation, with the golden ticket you can order a base car with painted stripes, CFTP or CFTP plus painted stripes.

Remember the Carbon Fiber Track Package is an option (67J) on the base model, it is not a stand alone model. The painted stripes were also an option (47W) on the base model. Both of these options require a Golden Ticket allocation. You can use the ticket to get both options or just one.

The Golden Ticket allocation is only needed to order the CFTP and/or painted stripe option on a base car. The base GT500 requires a special allocation that every dealer who signs up for the program receives after meeting the requirements.

My base 2020 GT500 was not a Golden Ticket Car.

Out of 5930 2020 GT500 VINs issued minus 52 Cancelled (5878), only 1598 were for Golden Ticket allocations minus 14 Cancelled (1584).

246 - GT500 Base models with Painted Stripes minus 4 Cancelled(242).
816 - CFTP with Painted Stripes minus 4 Cancelled (812).
536 - CFTP without Painted Stripes minus 6 Cancelled (530).

A Golden Ticket car is one with CFTP and painted stripes. The Golden Ticket allocation is the only way to purchase said car. If you elect to order your GT500 without painted stripes or CFTP, your car was still ordered with the Golden Ticket allocation, but you removed the options that made the car a Golden Ticket.
