I studied the Bible for many years, but was left with so many unanswered questions. Then a friend turned me on to the Uranitia Book, it answered all my questions and then some.

where in scripture is this "rapture"?

several decades of study. never seen it.

If you are referring to the word rapture you are correct. The word never appears in scripture. It comes from a passage in Matthew 24

Matthew 24:40 Context

37But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

This indicates that the second coming of Christ will be accompanied with a disappearance of individuals. It has become known as the rapture.
It's the same as the trinity of the Godhead. The word trinity does not appear in scripture (unless referring to a 5.8L DOHC) yet it's teaching is from beginning to end.

If the rapture was real, it would've happened in 1945 when the first bomb dropped.

Human kind has progressively managed to develop both the tools to destroy and save itself time after time. We always manage to exist and come out on the other end.

I am a humanist. No disrespect to those believing differently, but I am concerned by those willing to believe in rapture as an excuse to stand around in lieu of preventing human kinds destruction.

I stand corrected. I just checked what you posted. King James Version? This pretty much explains.

Lots of interpretations of when and how, but the truth is nobody has any idea until the day actually comes.
I was taught the truly faithful will ascend to heaven and the rest will be left here to face the war to end all wars.
I believe that man will destroy itself. We spend all our time trying to find out how to kill each other to the point we will just ultimately destroy ourselves. This will be the fire that consumes the Earth that so many say will come. The “fire” will be the nuclear blasts from all of our nuclear weapons detonating on each other. I believe the faithful will be spared this destruction.
We can all sit around and guess when and how, but God is the one who knows when, how and why. It’s our job to live the most productive and meaningful lives we can.

That was one nuke, but when they are all set off and destroy everyone and everything you will say “damn i was a fool for thinking i knew everything and spouting b.s. constantly.”
You are not as smart as you think you constantly come on here and spout off as some kind of super intelligent know it all, but you don’t know jack and when your day comes you will face the same judgment as the rest of us and wish you had shut up more.

I don't think God is done with us yet and we still have more good times to come. If you listen to the prophets they have been saying for years that Trump will be a 2 term president, and a few said to keep watching because God is going to move and expose the corrupt underbelly of the political world. So I'm interested in seeing how this all plays out and just believing that we are moving according to God's plan, but I think there is much more to come, but I also wouldn't argue that we are on track to go through the end time prophecy. The big one shaping up is the Middle East peace that Trump has been brokering.

Except nobody lives like that. The hardest part of being a Christian, and the Bible speaks of this, is resisting the temptations of the flesh and resisting the temptations of giving into a worldly lifestyle. Every Christian struggles with this and it means we constantly struggle with giving into the world's demands and trends and going with the flow vs living an entirely Godly lifestyle devoting your time solely to God. We have to balance that, and if you haven't noticed Christians have built much of Western society and largely advanced us to where we are today. So Christians are very much in tune with building a better world and are not relegated to sitting back and excusing the burning of the world because we believe it is a foretold conclusion.

This right here is the truth. I get tempted everyday my neighbor takes his Panigale V4 Corse out. Temptation says “take it”, but God said thou shalt not steal, so I let him keep it another day

I believe my plan is to have a 2021 GT500, but I’ll settle for a 2020.

everyone is tested by temptation differently. Some by guns, some by cars and some by women. It takes your willpower to not fall into this temptation and walk away as intended.

I dont think we are there yet, but man is on his way to total annihilation if we dont stop. I believe that yes in my lifetime that the Anti-Christ will make his appearance, but to set in motion what he is here for will be past my time.

im referring to the idea that believers get sucked out of the earth leaving behind non believers for some period of tribulation or judgment.

"45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions."

this is christians inheriting the land (the meek shall inherit the earth, noah and his family inherit the earth, israel inherits the land.... this is all throughout scripture. the wicked are cast out of the land. think of how many times israel is exiled into slavery. why? for this reason.

"48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

this is those who get disappeared. the only people getting "raptured" are unbelievers.

this pattern is all throughout sctipture. faith gets the land while unbelief gets denial to the land. remember the people if israel not believing moses and aaron about caanan.

we are all sinners. Thats why Christ died on the Cross to absolve us of ours sins and why we ask for forgiveness for the deeds we do. At the end of the day God knows what lies in your heart and you will be judge on that
