Thought I'd share. Finally got my dream garage about done.

Had a 29x29 garage done with 12'10" ceilings and 10'x10' doors. Did a four post lift for winter storage and a two post lift for working on the cars year round.

6" 4000PSI concrete with 24" deep footers at the lift pole locations for both the 2-post and the 4-post. Professionally done floor. Had electrical outlets run every few feet for a total of 24 inside the garage alone. Lots of LED lighting.

wow  sooo niceee

It sure is a great setup. Mine's a peanut compared to that huge garage. Around my town, garages that big are very rare. Most of the garages in town are your regular 2 and 3-car garages. I've only seen 2 or 3 oversize garages in town. But man would I love to have one.

Thanks for the info. A while ago I googled floor coating companies and didn't come up with much in my area. That cost info is very helpful. I'd opt out of the chips, I want a plain floor. Makes it easier to find dropped bolts and tools.

I'd do it myself except for 2 reasons: 1, I've already done an epoxy coating on my old garage and don't want to do that again. 2, I have over 2200 sq ft to cover and it might just drive me over the edge.

Signatures are for pus... oh, wait...

The base color on the poly is ugly, just a heads up

It’s a darker concrete color with a slight olive tint. Dark like raw cement as it comes out of the truck. I thought when I was getting the sides done it would be like a base epoxy color and I was wrong.

Looks great! With the time, money, and sweat you've invested, you should really consider a polyaspartic (rather than epoxy) floor coating. Similar process, but much more durable and resistant to hot tire pickup.

Didn't the installer show you a color sample before they did the job? Mine perfectly matches what the salesman showed me during our first visit.

I like it. Single bay, but you did a nice job. I like the red border at the top. I have the same ceiling LED lights. The light they give off is astounding. Two of them light up my entire 2-bay garage.

I tried epoxy back in 2004-2005 but unfortunately our hot tires causes it to lift from the concrete. The main issue was my inadequate floor prep. If it's not too late, you should definitely consider a poly-aspartic coating. It's rock hard (no worries about chipping/flaking) and looks great. Won't yellow, either. Just a recommendation. If you go with epoxy, just be sure the prep is done right and you allow a sufficient amount of time for it to cure before parking on it. Post some photos after you finish the floor.

I actually did purchase the polyaspartic kit and 100lbs of 1/16" flake.. I'm doing a full broadcast of chips. I didn't need 100lbs but it was cheaper than purchasing 60lbs. I'm also going to apply 2 coat of clear. Here's the chip in using.. Thanks for compliments.

I really wanted a 2 car garage, but this oversized 1 works well and i have a drain so that's a bonus!!!

That should look really nice. Looks like you have a majority of gray-tone chips, which will go great with your wall color and maroon stripe. Can't wait to see a photo of the finished floor. When are you going to do your floor? What floor grinder will you be using?

I could only wish for those cabinets and the gt, I went cheap and got a Home Depot cabinet for cleaning supplies and oils. But I am happy I pulled the trigger and got it done. I added motion led lights that daisy chain together to brighten things up, a good Costco purchase for $60! It will take a couple weeks to put everything away as I threw my back out getting wife’s winter tires out from the crawl space

I like that Husky black cabinet. That's something I'd like to have in my garage. What depth did you go with?

I had it out Saturday for a 115 mile run across the wine country west of St. Louis. It is truly an amazing car to drive.

Of course I barnstormed the golfers at St. Alban's country club, running it solid up and down through the gears. With the megaphone exhausts on in lieu of the mufflers it gets so loud....:D It had to be blasting through the valley there on Hwy T.

I have a GoPro 9 on my wish list for Christmas so I can post some better 4K vids.

Concrete grinding done, acid etched. Tonight I'm filling in cracks with caulking, painters taping everything up and hanging my banners on wall.
Tomorrow we pour floor and chips.. Sunday clearcoat... I swear the floor was more work than the entire remodeling of the garage... Jesus!!
