I recently picked up a MFP crank support from Paramount Speed. I have a 2014 GT500 with a MHS Built 5.8L Engine (Sleeved, Stock Crank, Rods, Pistons, Ported Heads, Stage 3 MHS Cams, and more). It is currently making 1122RWHP with a 2.6 Upper and 10% Lower on a Stage 3 VMP Gen 3 R. (made more with a 2.4 10% lower). Since we decided to use a stock crank I was a bit concerned about crank flex being a PD blower. Especially considering on initial teardown of the stock engine we saw signs of main bearing wear on the front main bearings which is typical of a PD blower car. Matt Coates at MFP designed the crank support to both support the crank and to help dampen harmonics.

Upon initial unboxing, myself and Jordan from Modular Head Shop ,were very impressed with the top notch machine work. Install was very straight forward. Install doesn't take very long at all even with the engine in the car. Plan for about 2 hours(maybe more or less).

The crank support is a great upgrade and it has some great pros. I think the only drawback would be that belt changes will take longer because the main bracket will need to be loosened/removed in order to get the old belt out and new belt in. (similar to a Roush/VMP Spider bracket on a 11-17 Coyote SC setup).

I am glad to have the crank support on the car which is paired with my Kinetic Crank Saver Stud and ATI 10% Lower. I also have a bigger blower coming which will be here very soon to really test out the full potential of this engine.

I am sure this certainly makes you sleep better at night having this on.
Let me tell you first hand how much it sucks having a broken snout. And mine broke on a little ole 2.3.
it looks like a very stout piece, but belt changes look like a nightmare!

you still rock the stock tensioner too?

Yup still stock tensioner. I haven't had any belt slip so far.

Been wondering if this was worth the money. They make great quality parts.
When does the Whipple 3.8 arrive?
