It was sent out the day after I ordered it. Might have been the last one they had.

AC took a dump...had a buddy replace condenser(had a pin hole) and replace low pressure switch. Now, the AC is frosty! Also, small pinion seal leak was taken care of.

Yeah 98 saleen cobra.
I kinda didn't have a choice when he bought it. He said he would spend 12 to 15k
Then sends me the pictures of the 97 he got on eBay for 3800.
The car was a pile. It looked nice but needed a ton of work. I do t mind fixing stuff. But all I wanted to do was put my money in go fast parts. Not all the crap I had to do to it. On a good note I got the car like 98 percent done / drivable. He only has to take care of some smog crap.

My dad was trying to do something for me ..not being in my life for 30 years. It was really nice thing to do . but he got cheap trying to save a buck and it is what it is.
I did like the car and if I had a bigger budget I would of just coyote swapped it but I'm not in that kind of financial situation at the moment.

@98 svt Congrats! Post up some pics I know you took some lol

I haven't even really taken many yet. It needs a real good cleaning/wash and then ill be sure to post some pics.
I'm not thrilled with the #s it put down, so I'll be taking it to Pete at Performance Dyno next spring. For now I'm just enjoying it.

So I was going to buy some spintech mufflers or even the borla kit. I found this local on craigslist and could not pass up the steal. 300. Everything brand new still in the box. So far I've got 1000 bucks in the exhaust for 400 bucks out of pocket. Bassani X will be here Tuesday so I can mount it all up

You may or may not like how that sounds, especially with an O/R X.

Installed my retrofit HID Headlights and new fog lights today. This was my 3rd retrofit and I must say they came out great. Also gave it a quick wash.

For anyone looking for new 94-98 fog lights, they are getting hard to come by. I ordered a set from LMR when they popped back up in stock. They are DEPO lights! I was quite happy to see them in the DEPO boxes. Nice lights. I may buy a spare set.

Pete will take good care of you, Paul. But you already know that. Pete is to tuning what Scott is to detailing.

ive shown my 97 vert a lot of love recently. my car is no longer "low mileage" at 89,000 miles. shes starting to show her age. the clearcoat is fading on the bumpers and the rock chips are piling up. paint on the metal is ok, i digress. shes needed some basic maintenance...

I installed new Bilsteins front and rear, installed gabriel quad shocks because $100 for Bilstein quads is absurd.

installed a FR500 steering wheel in my tan interior. i wasnt sure id like the black/tan wheel but i like it much better in person.

installed new plugs (autolite iridium) and plug wires (motocraft blues, not FRPP blues).

purchased TMI pro-chicane seats and seat tracks. apparently, it takes like 8-10 weeks to fill the order. guess they have to grow the vinyl, lol. i cant wait for these to arrive. theres a warning about them not fitting in convertibles but im pretty sure its going to be ok.

bought trunk struts because theyre worn out and the trunk tries to kill me anytime theres a slight breeze lol. i also bought a drivers side mirror because im tired of having a mirror rattling around.

the car has been good to me over the past 10 years. ive replaced the top, alternator, battery, serpentine belt (original belt lasted 21 years), and a/c compressor. not sure how much longer ill keep it. hell, i might save up for a repaint and just keep it. itll basically be new again at that point. thanks for reading my rambling ass post.
