I hate to say it but Sgt made terrible choices that night. Paid the price. Nice guys finish last.
Terrible losses that day.

*EDIT - Upon further review, officers were ****ed from the get go. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Had they been proactive with the full force required to apprehend the suspect, they likely would have been crucified. Current climate in the country, has made it almost impossible to “win” in such situation.

Incredible how the taser and pepper spray both failed miserably. Guy was still able to get accurate shots on the officers.
those weapons need to be discontinued. I’d also launch an investigation in regards to the ineffectiveness of those particular weapons. Possibly sue the manufacturer for faulty equipment, if proven ineffective.
Guy should have been at gun point at the 7 min mark.

Hard to tell, did he grab the Sgt.'s gun?
Three seconds to exit car or taze, mace whatever to immobilize him. Maybe a neck loop, yeah that would work for me. like trying to corral a rabid dog. Trying to force someone should be a no no unless there is overwhelming force around.
Did both officers pass or just the sgt?

So sad that he was quoted just a week earlier about being worried about using excessive force. These cops shouldn't have to have that in the back of their head. They have enough going on to deal with.

This is just absolutely abhorrent. WHERE'S THE OUTRAGE?!?!? LEO's are literally damned if they do and damned if they don't. They're reluctant to use deadly force when the situation clearly calls for it because they fear being prosecuted for murder when they had no choice but to defend themselves, so they wind up paying the ultimate price (as well as their families). I cannot imagine going to work every day trying to deal with that kind of stress/pressure. What the Hell is this world coming to??? Whatever it is, it's not good.
Its just going to result in worse and worse policing. No decent person in their right mind is going to want to be a cop anymore, which will leave nothing but shit birds to fill the positions

I thought there was too much patience for this guy to sit there and think about his plan, and when it came time for the fight there needed to be more violence which means more cops needed in that scenario. When you have a guy struggling that hard and is able to hold himself there against two guys pulling on him then things need to get REALLY violent in order to gain the upper hand, gain control, and force submission.
Not trying to Monday morning quarterback but those were just my thoughts while watching it. I was hoping they were going to do more than just pull on him and try to pull on his head and arms to the ground and I could see how compromised their position was that I just wanted to see more force, something that would make that idiot wish he hadn't gone that route, because I knew things were going to get bad any second.

They really need to train strikes back into the use of force module. I’ve tossed my baton in the brush so I could punch someone in the face. ****ing thing is about worthless
