Did the Demon ever run it's claimed 9.65 in the 1/4? How many years has this thing been in peoples hands now.

You would think lazy ass Dodge would have put in a few street launch modes. This is what would happen at a stop light, ****ing embarrassing for the Demon. Even the roll wasn't impressive on the Demons part.
It sure did, actually ran faster than the 9.65 that Leah Pruett ran.

Just searched it was it the white Demon number 33xx something on Dec 22 2019?

If so that had none stock tires and rims. I guess I need to clarify for some reason. COMPLETELY stock Demon (crate shit too obviously), has it run a 9.65?

If so please link

it hasn’t happened but that white one is a testament to how well they work. Set aside the stock aspect and the 9.65 hero run, with a solid drag tire that white one has run damn well.

I didn't watch the video but I will take a guess what happens. The C8 puts 747 lengths on the Demon.

Now, do a rematch and allow the Demon to race where it was designed to race, just to be fair. BTW, this is how democrats drag race, very misleading.
It's wild how people like you can turn a race between 2 cars into something political. I don't understand the mental gymnastics required. If you wanna talk politics go to that forum.

These guys are hacks. They are fellow Canadians and I cringe watching them. They were looking for a GT500 on 6G. I wouldn't let them near my car.

Point of the Demon was to sell Challengers and Chargers. They dropped that SOB just as the novelty of the Hellcat was wearing off.

It worked, 3 years later, including a mid engine Corvette, Widebody Charger, Redeye Hellcat and a GT500 and we're all still talking about the damn Demon!

The marketing of that car was perfection.

Hell, I basically bought my 1320 because of the Demon. (It put the Challenger on my Radar)

So whether or not anyone hits a 9.65 or if others cars become faster/cheaper... The car caught and held tens of thousands of peoples imagination and attention for years.

Kudos to FCA for doing so much with so little.
No budget, no technology, no new platform, no new engines, just a bunch of leftover early 2000's garbage and they beat out the Camaro and give thr Mustang a run for its money in terms of sales.

Sometimes it pays to listen to customers.

I gotta say, my Demon's a proper hoot to drive. Big, heavy, comfy, loud, fast - American as hell. And it hauls in a straight line - reasonable grip off the line with the factory DRs, and then a LOT of pull from 40 - 100. It feels like a mid-130s car when you drive it, and it doesn't demand anything from you when you're not on it.

It's not going to get off the line like a 3300lb mid-engine car, and my GT2RS will surely beat it in any straight line contest except for a prepped dragstrip, but ... I'd infinitely rather daily the Demon than the GT2RS.

For what it is, it's great.

don't get why the Demon loses from a dig...every C8 you see racing some other gets passed @120+ in the 1/4, but not this one...NO SENSE

It's 4,500lbs and they are racing on gravel?

Doesn't matter...On this site I've seen a C8 race at least 3 other cars and at 120ish the other car flies by before the 1/4 ends...Do a search...On a bad day the Demon runs 130+ in 1/4.

That is where driver mod is important. My guess is there are very few demon owners that actually "drive", or know how to drive their car. Just a hunch.
My guess is any Demon owner out seriously street racing knows what he's doing. The rest have their cars locked away in a climate controlled garage.

People still wanting to bash the Demon. It's still a benchmark and if it's on 93, it's down a few ponies too. I'm not watching the video yet, but I'm not surprised at the outcome based on the comments in here. I personally love that Dodge built that car. I also personally saw a stock demon run 9.9x's all day long on the stock crate stuff on 100 octane. Older guy driving it and he couldn't stop smiling. That's what it's all about.
I'd definitely not mind having one....haha. I'd drive a C8 too. Has to be fun to throw around. Oh well, what do I know anyway? I have an almost 20 year old car that is a rattle trap and hugely outdated....ha!
