Picked up a really nice set of DB/DC castings off a low mileage Aviator since one of my plugs decided it wanted to come out of my 4 thread heads. Let the build begin

Im really thinking about it at this point I'm only $500 in so far on these and they are extremely clean.

Getting those from a junkyard or?

A Local Wreaking yard that had an Aviator that was rear ended. I talked them into just selling me the heads. The wanted to sell the motor complete since it had low miles and Ran great but I convinced them into selling just the heads for $500 for the pair.

ARH headers and catted H pipe. Tuned and made 488/540, which was a gain of 40 hp and 28 ft-lb. Stock Eaton with 2.9/4lb combo.

Glad I went with the h pipe. Sounds mean.

My tuner was surprised as well. Even with the cats I'm surprised how loud it is. Running Borla stingers as well. This combo is pretty awesome. Not sure there are a whole lot of ARH with H-pipes around on cobras.

Went to a meet yesterday afternoon. Took my buddy's scatpack Charger to gapplebees a couple times. I really need to start on the cooling mods now.

And I ordered new front tires for it. Those should be going on Thursday.

Not today, but big weekend accomplishments that bled into today.

Had a weeping diff cover (car had a stock diff cover and brace as I bought it).

Upgraded to FRPP diff cover. While in there, threw in fresh FRPP 3.73 to spruce up the vert a bit at my power level (~500). New bearings, seals and clutches. Also added a maximum motorsports front and rear urethane bushings.

Now the pain of breaking it in...

Installed ID 1050X's, bolted on the new pulley combo to measure for a new belt. Got the belt on order. Need to make a dyno appointment next and let her eat!!!
