Not sure if this video has been posted. This incident really pisses me off. I realize cops have a shitty job but this is just BS. They should have checked his pulse and eased up. I can't believe they let this happen! The two cops sitting on him should be charged with murder imo. And the short Asian cop is also a POS for not even turning to see what was happening.

That's pretty infuriating. You got the guy in handcuffs and you have control with multiple officers then why are you still using such heavy compliance techniques? You were never taught to just pull his handcuffed arms up higher behind his back to put pressure on his shoulders? Those cops are ****ed and the city is going to be paying someone a lot of money.

Looks like they will be looking for new jobs. Someone about to cash out.

I think I read 4 officers were already fired. Yeah, they're ****ed. Charges will be files in addition to lawsuits.

I just saw that too that they were fired and investigation is under way. Common sense would have at least one of those cops saying "Hey, we have him now so loosen up on his neck". If the guy gets rowdy again then you have about a dozen other compliance techniques to use that don't involve killing him.

Sounds like cuffs clinked right after the video started.

The fact that an extra cop was t helping suggests the fight was over.

Looks really bad.

Positional asphyxiation is always on my mind once the cuffs are on.

Watched the video and after a few seconds thought that this cop is out of control. Guy is handcuffed, two cops on his legs, he is no longer a threat. While I am generally pro police, I think we need to draw back from the guys who want to run full battle-rattle and think the streets of America are the same as the streets of Baghdad.

There are no words. I can only shake my head in disbelief and disgust.

Once a person is secured and in custody, whatever happened prior is over. You are now 100% responsible for their health and welfare. Sure, there are times when it's difficult and just plain sucks, but that's part of the job.

Just sent this to my 3 buddies who are cops and the first comment was "why was he on the ground for 8min after being cuffed?" It's a good point that needs explanation.
That was the first thought when I watched that video. That is just nuts. The cop that had his knee jammed into the guys neck for that long is nothing but a piece of trash. Even after repeated shouts from bystanders that the guy was not moving, the cop still applied pressure to his neck and none of the four bothered to check his condition. It was pretty obvious when the guy was picked up that he was dead. That one cop will undoubtedly be facing a murder charge and lawsuit. The others will be facing charges and lawsuits as well.
