Holy crap that is so effing awesome. 8k rpm small block with no mufflers lol. The wide body, all of it.

Great share, thanks for posting.

That sound!
Thanks for posting. I watched it a couple times. Not sure how they acheived it, but the sound quality even on my crummy iphone 6 was great.

This was awesome! Loved the drive out on the street, especially when the Superduty was filming them.

Thanks for sharing.

If you guys have any vintage race events near you, I suggest you check em out. Tons of fun! Depends who or what is the celebrated driver or class. Parnelli Jones a few years ago, was awesome. Challenger TA with the acid dipped bodies, AMC Javelins, 70'Boss, Camaros. Edelbrock used to come out. Brought camee, and Christy his daughters have 66' GT350s they race. The scream of the small block Shelby is crazy!

They have these events all over the country. I'd love to check out the historic Daytona race. Or Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca are so fun too, old money with amazing race cars.

Found myself watching this last week!
Just noticed! That Camaro could be in this race. Exact team livery, just different number. Or a sister car. That is a weird coincidence. @12:12

This-Went to Friday practice a couple years ago at Lime Rock, saw all the cool stuff and great access to pits.

Vic had an awesome livery, including a classic Penske Camaro.

Memories!

Yes! The pit is all open! It's a vintage race car show. We are lucky, we have a vintage race event half hour away. Every 4th of July weekend.

Long ago pre-2k I went to Watkins for one of the races and I didn't think anything would top that until a few years later I had my 240 out at a drift weekend at my local track

springs when one of the PJones cars showed up in route to Vegas but they didn't run due to a bent valve, best thing that ever happened to me. Made a call to my step grandad who owns a machine shop 80 miles away right dead smack in the way on the route they were taking to Vegas, the worst one at that and they pulled the head off and checked the valve seats along with the deck & for good measure dusted it. The charge, steep. They had to give us a personal symphony, I'll tell you right now.. I've been around a lot of race cars but those T/A 302's they sound good but nothing prepares you for the kick in the chest from all that compression and cam with those huge heads. Was finally glad to meet my Hero car because its the reason behind my first car, literally.

I came across this channel(AutotopiaLA) just recently. Primarily lots of cool, old school builds. Neat alternative to all the late model stuff that is so prevalent though. Lots of badassery, most of it admittedly cubic dollar stuff, but still badassery none the less.

Got to do some body and paint work on one of Parnelli Jones' old Boss 302s. My dad's first car was a 70 Boss 302 so it was a cool moment.

Man did I love Trans Am racing back in the late '60s and early '70s. Exciting road course racing. I miss it! And the awesome cars. And the great drivers. Parnelli Jones, Swede Savage, Dan Gurney, Jerry Titus, Mark Donahue, George Follmer, Peter Revson, Jim Hall, and Sam Posey, just to name a few.

Some photos from cars that raced back in the day. ;)

Yeah, its funny if you watch the race that i posted, it has Parnelli trying to pass lapped traffic @11:35 Sideways, and in the dirt! It's good!

And if I remember, the Pontiac Trans am was never raced it the class. Because of the 305cid displacement rule. Amc de-stroked the 360. Always enjoy watching the big boys run! Met Parnelli Jones twice at the Pacific historics here in WA. In 2012 saw him run the new at the time Boss302 for Ford, at the lunch time celebrity run. He looked right at home!

If you watch "uppity" doc on Netflix. It has a lot of Dan Gurney in it. Class act! The guy is just one of the best!

I've been to the historic races before at Pacific Raceways and they are awesome to watch. I have great video of a Falcon that sounds and moves like it has a NASCAR motor in it racing a really fast Jaguar XKE I believe it was.

Yeah, the red guy! There is another one there now. It might be the same Falcon. It's black. Hangs around with big block vettes!

The Trans Am series was great. I even liked the old IROC series. But, if I had a choice, they should bring T/A back.

But, America loves them some NASCAR. Even drag racing isn't as popular as it was in the '70s.

Nascar isn't exactly as popular as it used to be either...
