Anybody with some 2020 GT500 content?
Weather been getting better, I’d assume this is a good car to break the Corona stress?
I’m waiting for the ‘21 banks to open.

I think price and supply are slowing down R&D, and Corona certainly isn't helping.

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm guessing the $100k price tag many dealers are asking, coupled with current economic conditions are leading to fewer sales. I search a 500 miles radius on cars.com weekly and see numerous $99k prices and a couple over $100k for base models. Just not in the cards for many of us.

How many total have been sold vs competitors in the field offering tunes and bolt-on products? The ROI can't be great right now for them on the 2020 GT500.

OK.

I've done a resonator delete, added the air-oil separator included with the Handling Package, changed springs to those from the CFTP (higher rate and approx .5" drop), CFTP rear sway bar, Caliperfexion stainless front caliper studs, changed to Ford adjustable camber plates, added a Beith custom leather steering wheel, removed the rear seats and bolted in a FP rear seat delete (same kit as used on the GT350R and GT500 CFTP cars), swapped in a better engine air filter that can also be cleaned, removed the dreaded "double horn honk" via FORScan, and I cut the mufflers off at the rear and reclocked and rewelded them for proper tip alignment. I did steering alignment at home a couple of days ago and went with:

Front - 1/16" toe in, -1.25* camber
Rear - 1/8" toe in, -1.75* camber

The car suffered from the pinched coolant hose at the firewall and I had to remove the STB to release it. Happening to quite a few cars to date and Ford showed little interest in hearing about it or correcting it.

I changed the oil at 1,046 miles. I had only driven the car one time, from Missouri to NY in January when I bought the car. I used factory oil/filter.

I also spent a few days under the car and in the engine bay cleaning up any oxidation on aluminum parts or on bare steel. I used Adams ceramic wheel coating on the inside and outside of the wheels - time consuming but the results are definitely worth it.

On the hunt for a GT4 wing, the real deal and not the production piece, and I have another factory decklid ready to go to be used with it. If I strike out there I'm paying close attention to Anderson Composites as they claim to have one coming this summer. If Anderson's piece turns out to be shit and I sense the real deal ain't happenin' either, I may move to an APR unit, possibly with custom uprights.

The car itself gives off a strong resemblance to the GT350 when sitting behind the wheel. That ends when you turn the car on and twist the dial so many seem to loathe. No shits are given about any of that nonsense. The DCT is the real ****ing deal. Uber aggressive in Sport and Track suspension modes, it really transforms the car. The car fires off gunshot pops at up and downshifts that say "yeah, that was a combination of fuel and spark at a moment not intended to produce maximum fuel economy but rather to make unaware pedestrians shit themselves." Foot pushed all the way down, the car is a freight train on nitrous and the brakes feel like they could stop a 747 on a dime. The suspension and exhaust modes are fun to play with and yield discernible results.

I look forward to seeing more of these out there as we slip past this Covid blip. It is a fantastic ride.

That GTR makes 900 whp and my Turbo Mustang makes a little over 400 to the wheels..... The GTR owners remind me of the AMP Vette owners and lie thru their teeth about the power their car makes.

The GTR is considerably lighter in comparison tho at 300-400 lbs which is a lot.

If you are bored, and don't mind braving Facebook...there's plenty going on lol

there's a lot more to that story, and the 500 owner fully asked for all he got lol. you can take an L to a car like that without a bit of shame, and then you can also do what he did. both cars are very fast, i just enjoyed the edit.

Yea total tool I agree. U never know with them GTR's. I just assume they all make 1600+ hp lol im sure most are around a 1000 hp or so. Usually if u can afford to buy one u can afford to modify one.
