I am very excited to post this video! Jordan was able to modify the lower intake manifold and remove the bypass area and widened the intercooler area. We also showed the hand porting process for the lower intake. I know the video is long but there is a lot of cool info and we show a lot of the process. Jordan has a lot of time into making this manifold awesome and I'm sure the results will speak for themselves.

Good to see Justin show off the new parts!
I’ll be using the large core with 1” flow tubes, to make the entire system 1” lines from ice tank to core and HE.

Jordan killed it with the machining!
You’ll be happy you did that upgrade.

What Jordon did (porting) on your lower intake manifold is ONLY what I refer to as Stage 1 & Stage 3 porting. You are STILL missing the Stage 2 porting.

As I mentioned before, there are total of 3 areas of air flow concern in the lower intake manifold.

Stage 1 is removed (ported) the bypass area like yours or J's lower intake.

Stage 2 porting - ONLY very few people did it and they ALL have to guess how much material they can removed EXCEPT me - don't ask how I know, believe it or not I do know exactly how much material can be removed without cutting too much.

Stage 3 porting are the runners where they meet the cylinder heads. Slawko Racing Heads been doing this for quite some time and they have a CNC program to machine that.

Andrew love the engine build content. Keep it up:)

In your latest YouTube video in the comment section you mentioned, "Definitely would not run a Kenne Bell on this car. VMP and Whipple are so far ahead of Kenne bell." Can you expand on how VMP and Whipple are so far ahead of Kenne Bell?

This is just my personal opinion. What I mean is that Kenne Bell has shown very little innovation in the past 10 years while Whipple and VMP continue to improve their products and come out with new products. The new Whipple 3.0L and Whipple 3.8L looks sweet. I have never personally ran a Kenne Bell on any of my cars. I think they look cool and they still make power. Me personally just not a big fan.

Here is final assembly of the engine which includes showing how to remove the cams/heads and keeping Cam degree and some of Jordan's other processes when buttoning up a fresh build:

And here is the engine install video. Mantic Triple Disc, BMR Tubular K-Member, MGW Shifter, BMR Safety Loop are just some of the new parts shown in the video:

Good stuff.
I’ve been driving what you’re building these last 3 days and it’s worth it. Almost 200 miles just enjoying the drive and experience.
Manual trans with 1000+rwhp but more insane 950+rwtq!
I really like the new 163R TB on this ported 3R.
This new blower SCREAMS! 2.4 upper 15% lower here.
Cool to see the team effort and crew mindset as it takes help on these everything builds.
Looking forward to following yours!

One quick question: EGR delete? Mine is capped from exhaust but I know there’s a way to get rid of this ugly thing.
Your vid mentioned EGR block off plate?

I don’t talk much publicly about stuff that might alert the three letter agency lol. My EGR is in the engine bay lol

Correct, I just mentioned it as we will both be track racing and likely make changes for track use right? Might even run over a cat on way there :)
But hypothetically, the factory computer uses the sensor on the EGR unit. I’ve heard a tuning parameter change and reworking a few vacuum lines allows the computer to have the correct data but that ugly heavy POS to have a block off plate instead.
Any ideas on how that is accomplished?

The best engine build video. All good info, no crazy music or yadda, yadda, yadda.
Nice to watch an artist at work!

I've been following this build and me likey. The car sounds awesome.

Couple of things I would do if this was my build:

I would turn the engine over without the plugs in while building oil pressure so u have little to no load on those parts. Put the plugs in and fire it and it should go first crank. That also means double and triple checking everything before it fires to keep wear to a minimum (the vacuum leak thing).

I know u want to make content but I also wouldn't start it up till coolant was in there and not run it without.

Otherwise, great series of vids. Git'r sorted out, tuned and start sending.

Tony

Edit: 1 more thing. From your engine/Mantic clutch install vid @ the 18:40 mark..........
PLEASE PLEASE, those are spark plugs not rodents falling down a rabbit hole. Use a proper spark plug socket to install the plugs and not just drop them down into the plug hole.

U don't have a guarantee that the plug will fall down square to the hole. U can easily bend the electrode that u just gapped properly and/or damage/crack the insulator on the plug.

Big dollar engine build with big dollar parts deserve use of proper tools and proper install methods to ensure proper operation.

I do have to say, Sir, this is one of a hell build! Good luck with it I really hope to see it putting some serious numbers @ the Dyno & track! I have prepared for a similar build but with different supercharger...

Now I see that they sleeved the block for you, curious what bore did you go with? Stock, 3.670 or 3.650?

For me, I'm going 3.650 to gain some wall thickness but haven't decided yet which sleeve kit to go with since darton's won't have a good thickness after boring it to my needs!

Any leads on a good socket that the rubber doesnt fall out? I swear every single one I have purchased they come out and I am stuck digging in with needlenose every cylinder to fish it back out for the next one

Here is the first drive video.

Andrew, I am curious to see some data on that IC core. You made mention that IAT's were nice and cool at 77* so the core was working great, but you were looking at IAT1.
Can you advise how IAT2 is looking as that shows effectiveness of the core.
