It was me. You are right, it was awhile ago. I downloaded the files and was making some changes to the model. Life got in the way. Self employment took off and ive been a busy boy for awhile! Maybe ill fire the old machine up since that was the one i was basing my model after.

It's no light saber, but cranked this out.

Design was done in Creo and slicing with Creality. It came out fairly decent quality based on the parameters I set to bring the print time down. Still took 10 hours.

Very nice!

Pardon the rough edges. I am waiting until I get the rest of the armor done before I clean up the seams and what not...

The inside of the helmet is lined with a rugby softshell helmet.

And as far as hobbies go, not an expensive one. Keep your filament sealed up and it lasts for quite awhile as well. I ran my first machine for many hours and it still needs nothing. Prints as well now as it did when i first got it.

I ordered Ender 5 Pro, still waiting for arrival. There are some desings in Thingiverse for Mustangs or other car related. I plan to make some interior parts, like gauge cluster to replace sn-95 clock.

Nope. I have it pulled apart again right now doing more mods to it. It is a lot like a car. There are so many things you can do to it to make it better.

I’m the wagon now too, dad and I got one to mess with, letting it print the little included dog file

I just received the Ender Xtender 400xl kit.

Go big or go home.

Ender Extender 400XL (For Ender 3 PRO)

good lord people go nuts with these things. All we're doing at the moment is printing some things like tool holder, fan guard and the piece to direct more air around the print.

We were looking at the raspberry pi w/ a camera and octoprint or whatever it is but mostly planning to leave it alone. have you done any upgrades that really made a difference in print quality or speed?

Things that helped the most...
  • Glass print surface
  • Micro-swiss hot end
  • Bigtreetech SKR V1.4 32bit Controller board
  • Full custom built glass enclosure

Oh, and a fan shroud with twin 50x50x15 fans to cool the print, in place of the little single 4010 fan. I am printing about 60% faster with what I have listed and the excess cooling. I also upgraded the hot end fan to a Noctua 4010 fan that runs a lot harder. Though I did need to add some buck converters to switch power to the fans and some lighting I added from 24v down to 12v. Noctua fans, even though they throw the air compared to others require only a 12v source.
