I wonder how this will compare to the Bear block as far as the ability to handle more power. Gotta be quite a bit heavier than then aluminum block. Seems really stout tho. But a sleeved stock block will handle 2000 hp but the ability to run big CI's is a big plus!!!

Bottom line tho for 99% of the members on this forum its a solution to a problem that doesn't exist for them.

Got a few buddy's who race their coyotes and none have ever cracked the stock block. Plenty have spun bearings, bent rods, burned pistons etc.... NONE have cracked a block and these guys go mid 7's and low 8's in the 1/4 mile.

Wait, gotta stop you there.
The block stength IS the biggest Coyote issue on big power boosted applications.
There is NO way your friends are running into the 7s on a stock, non reinforced block. You’re flat out wrong or misinformed.
There’s a reason people have to sleeve the blocks past a certain point, they crack.

Where did I say their blocks were not sleeved? Stock ford racing blocks just like mine sleeved. They have never broke a sleeved block. Im not saying they are bullet proof but block strength has not been an issue with sleeves. It's been hard parts that have failed and transmission.

Anyone running low 8's or mid 7's is assumed to have a sleeved block. Guess I shudda stated that but I assumed u would already know that.

Well I would’ve hoped they didn’t crack a sleeved block.
That’s not what this thread is about.
The iron block is for guys that don’t want an after Bear block, billet block or sleeve a stock block.
Which is why I was calling out your post.
If you have sleeves, it is called a sleeved stock block.
Your post stated stock blocks weren’t cracking at high 7 sec power.
Stock sleeved blocks have handled 1500-2000hp, well known fact.
Stock non-sleeved blocks crack easily around 800hp.

CPR on the thread!! What's the status on the Bear block? When I search, not much comes up.
I have ordered the Werewolf block from Summit. ETA is mid August according to Summit, but I talked to Ford Racing and they said later in the year. We will see.

I can't find the block on Summit's site.
