I've always like the stock wheels best. Looks like you had the original Goodyears on there?

Yeah, I replaced them with some Toyo R888R’s and took both cars out for a drive since it was nice out.

Now I lose traction at WOT in 2nd gear versus no traction issues when I had the 315’s out back. I’m hoping it’s just the cold weather. I’ll see what happens in the spring.

Finally attempted to drive it today and found a couple issues. One of those days where you're staring at the eaton on the shelf wondering how hard it would be to go back. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.

LoL. No regrets with my simple little tvs 2.3, the more mods the more work..and or headaches.

Keeping the stock computer and having 04sleeper tune it to perfection is very care free. Hit the easy button

We both have done a blower swap and fuel system swap. Size of the blowers are irrelevant. If I hadn't swapped the ECU we would be basically the same on the mod department.

I just needed to step away for a bit. I processed a few things and a light bulb came on. I figured out I need to rewire my fuel pump relays. The current set up with the FPDM doesn't agree with the new ECU.

But there are limits to what the stock ECU can do. And I've been tuning my own stuff for 12 years. Hard to hand that over to someone else. Theres just a learning curve to deal with. Everybody goes through it with new stuff.

Seeing as I'm the only one whose had issues with their modified Cobra I'll make sure to vent my frustrations in other places.

Whoa.....lol. That wasn't a slight against you. I brought that up to Brady because that's what he did. It's a lot less expensive and a lot less of a headache.

I totally get the extra functionality of the aftermarket system, it's cutting edge.......but it's not necessary to run a gen4 and enjoy stock drivability putting around or hammer down the 800+ wheel they're making.

The hard limits of the stock ecm suck and when you aggressively scale for larger injectors/maf it creates a lot more problems.

MS3 does so much a stock ecm cant, and if you can tune yourself the cost difference isn't huge. Figure $400 for xcal + $250-$400 for a tune. Ms3 is under $1300, you can sell the MAF and you get launch control, wot closed loop, flex fuel capability, engine safeties, no lift shift, etc. For the value it's not even close....but the key is you have to be able to tune it.

With all that said I have a nib ms3 and im debating on if I want to go to the hassle of installing it, lol.

It sure is fun looking at those guys on the 600cc bikes when they don't leave you. Most times they think "Mustang? Easy win!" Then they are surprised when it doesn't happen LMAO!!!!

Agreed, it never gets old.
Most 600/750 riders aren't the most skilled anyway, and they just see an older loud silver mustang. Then I walk them hard.
Picking on 600cc bikes is about my favorite thing to do at the moment

Yep, I have always loved that too. The look on their faces is priceless LMAO!!!

There is an open stretch of highway here that leads to my parents house and goes right by the Army base. There are always guys out on their crotch rockets. So, every time I take my Cobra to my parents house there is never a shortage of guys who I get to surprise LMAO!!!

So compelling lol

Not happening for 99.99% of street cars.....unless you reside in the back woods of a fly-over state. Got to have emission provisions

I haven't used the terminator pnp megasquirt yet but I do have one of their other pnp units and it really is a super nice unit. The only hang up I have is no evap system, Malcolm says it could be triggered by the MS3.

90+% modded terminators have egr and cats already deleted so they re not concerned with emissions.
