So yes, I am STILL building a GT40.

Had a problem getting the crank from China (tariffs) but I do have several updates.

Wednesday this week I traveled down to Craft Racing to (finally) see my engine and watch the dyno. Here are the assembly pictures:

Ready for dyno!

I should have dyno videos up shortly.

Dyno pulls...
We had about 6, here are three:

1st pull, the test stand was having trouble with the throttle linkage getting to WOT
2nd pull
3rd pull we stuck Lance in the dyno room to get to WOT

The valve covers were for the dyno testing, I have Gurney Westlake's for the final build.

Why only 5750 rpm?? Spin that thing to 7000!
Yeah, they did not have the correct setup to get the throttle open all the way on the dyno stand. Redline is 6200 rpms.

7000???

With torque dropping like that, I am not sure what the extra hp gets me with the car weighing 2400 lbs.

Prolly be shifting at 5700 rpm, and that is only to hear the music from the bundle of snakes!
