Kurgan Cams

I recently purchased what I thought were custom cams for my 04 Cobra. Come to find out they are not custom. I've tried contacting Ward a few times to discuss these, but have never heard back. Took my money and ran. So here they are. I would like to get what I paid for them. They include cams,springs and cam bolts. I'll even pay for the ride.

No I have not. Thought he would of responded when I sent an email. Another 04 owner has Kurgan cams for his set up and wants. His wants are different than mine. His specs are identical to mine. That doesn’t seem custom to me. Also was told he would send email questionnaire on what I wanted. Never saw that either. Cams showed up and can’t get a hold of anyone after.

When I got cams from Kurgan he said he keeps 2 popular grinds on his shelf.

The grinds that you have (i have the same set, we talked on FB.) and another more aggressive grind.

Maybe people run this exact set of cams with great success. But it's more of like a "stage whatever Kurgan cam" not a custom set.

Sucks he wont respond.. GLWS.

I agree. I want a custom set for my application. Especially for the price of them now. I’m an easy going guy. Just call me or email and let me know what’s going on. It’s been 3 weeks now

try calling his shop, i typically always get and answer when calling. or try messenger on FB, they are pretty good about that too.
about yours cams, they are his custom specs. but yes other folks have them. im sure alot of other folks cams are the same way. they have a few different grinds that they know work and they stick with that.

I have called several times with no luck. Also sent an email. I leave a general message nothing horrible. Really disappointed with this whole deal. Thought this was the place to go. Ward never stated they have a few different sets laying around. He made it sound like if we got them ordered in time for bulletts rotation of cams for the 04 Cobra it would only be 3-4 weeks.

This is why I bought from Kurgan. Custom sets were 6-8 weeks out

Didnt want to wait for an extra 5 hp

I bought the same ones from kurgan and I have the same setup as you. They work perfect, got good gains, and sound mean as hell.

Decided to keep them lol!!! Start modding that new cobra yet?

I'm taking it slow. Lol.. I wont be putting them in until next winter. That's why I entertained selling them

I'm just going to keep them. I do the cams and a return set up next winter.


I need to enjoy the car as is for at least one season before I take it apart lol

Bob is a great guy. If he says these will work, they will work. He’s been in this game a long time. He did offer me two different options, a very aggressive and the ones I purchased. Yes, he said he could spec mine out but the change would be soo minuscule that the gain of a couple horses wouldn’t be worth the wait, 8-10 weeks, and I agreed. He’s tuned thousands of modulars, to come up with these specs. They are custom grind cams, and you’re getting a proven combination with these specs. I trust Bob without hesitation, and have been taking my cars to him for years without the first issue, him and Ward and good dudes, and I don’t second guess what the “flyin Hawaiian” says...
Looking forward to getting this cobra put back together so I can get the 84 ttop notch down to him for a custom turbo setup...
