You could change it, but you'd still need to datalog and possibly tweak the tune. Canned tunes aren't that great.

But don't bother. You're not going to get any kind of performance. And unless you're running some heavily ported heads and cams I doubt you're anywhere near maxing out the stock parts.

Search the "NA SVT Recipe" in this forum.
Folks know I post it almost every other week..It is an approved compiled list of Todd Warren's, AKA NA SVT, suggested effective mods for NA power/torque. The only thing I would modify/add to the list is the improved custom Cams from which Na Svt now sells.

OH...WTH..

NASVT Recipe fixed!!!
NA ~320 RWHP with 99-01 DOHC C-Head 4.6L:
K&N filter
OEM Cams
March damper
March hydraboost and WP pulleys
Long tubes
Hi Flow Cats/Cat Delete mid-pipe
Tune (canned..more $ for real tuner tune)

360-370 RWHP:
NA SVT custom cams properly degreed.
short runner. (only If running above 7k RPM)
Tune

88888888888888888888888888888
As I think I understand it...FP, 39# injectors and 90mm MAF with retune can be added at this point to extract a bit more from the 4.6 and prep for a stroker or BB stroker build.

Nice bro, I will consider this recipe step by step, Right now I have the following on my engine:

JLT filter
OEM Cams
OEM injectors
OEM throttle body (a 65mm works?)
OEM ignition coils (which is better oem or msd?)
Light pulleys
Long tubes 2.5 and X
Hi Flow Cats/Cat Delete mid-pipe
Short shifter Pro 5.0
Soon upgrade IRS full Tilt
3.73 Gears
Tune (I have super basic tune SCT X4 When I have everything I will get a custom tune)

thanks for you feedback

Regards

If you want to stay NA, get headers, off road mid-pipe and a dyno tune.

I were you I'd just save up for an intercooler and used centrifugal supercharger though. Headers sound great but don't have a great bang for the buck when compared to forced induction.

those rwhp numbers are a bit high

I have said this to you before and will continue to...
If you have a problem with those numbers, take it up with na svt (Todd Warren).

I'll even start the thread for you.

BTW:
Those are corrected SAE power numbers.
That is the only fair way to compare mods.

This.

Go centri with a safe tune from a reputable tuner and be done. Other than tires and FTBR IRS kit
