Well... I finally pulled the trigger on a gen2 2.3 in like new condition. Bonus that it came with a new crusher intake and three pulleys. Now, the long wait til spring when I buy the rest of my build and put it all together.

Make sure you machine the case for iat2 to work properly.

The iat2 sensor mounts too high and doesnt put the sensor in the air flow. Instead the sensor is surrounded but the blower mounting plate and doesnt read the temps correctly, it gets heat soaked. Vmp said this was a safety measure.
Where the iat2 mounts needs to be milled down flush with the rest if the plate and then you will get accurate readings

Okay, yes this makes sense to me. The iac being mentioned was throwing me off. Luckily the 2.3 I bought already has this milled down. Thanks for clarification.

I just looked at it. I can't wait to get the tuning done.

Oh, and I aired down the rear tires to about 24psi in the hopes I won't totally scare myself.

Drove it to the gas station just to get it out of the garage. Has a lean spot off idle. But I'm not too worried about that. Get it above 1500rpm and it runs pretty decent. I really wanted to drive it to work, but it'll have to wait. That blower has a funky sound at part throttle.

Yes I am! Plan is to have two tunes, 3" pulley/93 and 2.6"/e85 with stock lower. I also ordered a whipple adjustable snub idler. Unfortunately the rest of the parts are going to be purchased in the spring. Pretty damn excited though! Going Fore return system and since I'm still on a stock clutch I'll be ordering a DYAD as well. Hoping to have some fun before the stocker dies and I have to break in a new clutch. How about you? E85?

Got the full exhaust installed, anyone know where I can get a 3.65 or 3.5 upper to pair with my 4lb lower, on my kenne bell? I want to have a 93 pump gas tune as well.

Definitely running E85. I have had a return setup in the car for awhile now. Long ago I had a gen1 TVS with the dragon tb and loved it. On 20.5lbs and E85 she made 670 wheel and over 600 wheel torque. Definitely fun.

Good work, definitely some left in the 60ft I would think. Picked up 30mph on the back half.

Blower?
Pulley/psi?
Fuel?
Transmission?

Pass before that dead hooked and went 1.51 60' but the mph was lower, 10.51@132. I may have short shifted 2-3 which is where I fell off a little in the 1/8th

2.9 whipple gen 4
3" pulley ~ 23 psi
Lethal 1300hp return, id1300 # injectors, 3000MAF, c16
Bone stock trans mcleod rxt with me shifting like I stole it

So 3" upper, factory lower? Honestly, a little less overall mph than I would have thought....but 30mph on the back half is no joke. Might need to spin it 25+ to get its sweet spot.

yep stock lower. I'm afraid of doing an after market lower honestly.
If I can get the 60' down in the 1.4x range I'll be knocking on 9 second door so I think the combo set up right now works well. I'm toying around with the idea of going auto but we'll see.
