I've been considering something new myself. Have a note 8 now and like so many phones in the past, it starts out great and then after a year or so, battery life goes down the toilet.

Not a fan of Google and their privacy/security concerns. I absolutely detest Apple and the company mindset. Wish I didn't have to carry this leash around at all. But if I must carry one, I want it to work. Several comments on the Pixel have my interest piqued. How has the history of battery life been on the Pixel phones?

After 23 months by Pixel 2 battery is finally showing it's age. Used to last over 24 hours on a charge. Now it lasts about 12-14. Not bad IMO.

LG makes a good phone without Samsung’s bloat. The worst phone I’ve had in recent years was Samsung.

As far as Apple riding coattails. Apple has never had the top camera or other items. Nokia 41mp camera in 12. Nokia had the best lowlight camera back then too. The have a 5 camera phone that can create 64mo images. My Nokia n900 was one of the best phones I ever had.
Apple has always seemed to bring it together in a seamless form. It just works. Multiple people I have spoken with go back to Apple, no more missed emails or messages or duplicate text they share.
I see you haven't used Sammy's One UI.... Bloatware is next to none. Funny thing, it has a ton of features that Google is introducing on Android 10.

Apple charging $1,000 for 64gb is a joke....

OP, I would wait for the Pixel 4. Honestly, ive never been a fan of Note series, I hate their form factor and wideness. Probably dont see myself using the pen either, had a Note 2 long ago and pen was mostly left inside.

Im perfectly happy with my S10+. Good thing iPhone's are finally getting night mode for pics, its pretty awesome!

That 90hz display is going to be awesome! The OP7 Pro is probably the smoothest phone ive ever used because of that. Never used the RAZR phone.

Not sure how I feel about the gestures chip, and no fingerprint FTL.

I don't use the fingerprint thing now.

I guess I'm in a holding pattern for a few weeks. I imagine it'll come down to the Pixel 4XL and the Note 10+.

Also Microsoft and samsung have worked together on the note 10 so it integrates with your win 10 desktop/laptop. Even helping polish samsung DeX that allows you to hook up a screen, keyboard and mouse to your note 9 or now 10 and get a "desktop" experience.
The "Your Phone Companion" app has been wonderful for me. Getting and replying to texts on my pc whlie working is something we should have had years ago.

I love the FP, mostly use my phone on a desk and very convenient, dont need to turn on the screen either.

Not sure if you heard of Good Lock. Its an app that adds extra customizations to Samsung phones, pretty sweet to use! Maybe google will add something like that later on.

It starts at $700. If that’s too high people won’t buy it.
For the lower end model, both pro and pro max however, only come with 64GB with a nice price of $1,000 and $1,100 respectively....

The $700 has almost all the software of the pro. Yes lower screen quality but faster than the s/note10.

That's why I upgraded from a working Note 8 to the 10.
Actually use those features at work/home.

Question since I'm too lazy to google it. Is the text from PC via web browser or desktop app like iMessage for Note w/ Your Phone Companion?

I believe it is like the i message.
It's an app that was available in windows 10 in 1809, but is part of 1903.
You can read and send text (and gifs), view and send photos, notifications pop up on the pc etc, it's a slick setup.

That's nice. The one biggest thing I miss is having an app on my computer for sending / receiving. With the Pixel, I use the web platform. The latest update was huge, but I still prefer an app over web based.
