I have a co worker who was born about 150 years too late as he wishes he was a miner born in the mid 1800’s instead of 1979. I took him to DQ for the first time recently and when the girl flipped the blizzard over he thought it was going to all drop out and he tried catching it, it was pretty humorous.

Since this turned into a DQ thread, I still have the old school baseball helmets that they served with ice cream in them. OP as a DQ owner how would mere mortals get our hands on the big red spoon door handles? I want those for my house!

Can you please buy/revive/save the DQ in our town?

The current owner, who's had it for +25 years, prefers to keep it a dump. It's in a perfect location on Main Street, right on the corner of an intersection with stop lights. Sadly, the place is disgustingly dirty, rundown, and everything inside is "sticky".

Had many friends that were "Dilly Dippers" years ago...

And it's right across the street from the university my son graduated from. Great location occupied by a shit hole.

I think our Food is on par, or better than anything competition has to offer.

We use real, quality produce. That's the main difference.

It's hard enough as is with me and my dad as is. Couldn't add another store.

DQs only work when the owner is extremely hands on.

Our food menu is as complicated as any BK/MCD/Wendy's, and then you add 100+ skus for all the ice cream. Add in maintence and general employee crap, it can be overwhelming to keep up with the standards we have

As far as an update goes, obviously the guy is a ghost.

Was able to get the engine dropped in earlier today. I feel really good about it

The one that I was living down the road from had the best Hamburgers and tacos. You had to get there early otherwise the line would be up the street. They made everything fresh and it was always on point.

Intervention302... I was just reminiscing on old New England Dragway videos. Did you by any chance used to own a silver S197 maybe a Saleen? If so, I think we were pit neighbors one night in 2010... Small world.

I had dark gray 07 GT, then a gray 11 5.0.

Both have been to NED often back in the day.

But I got the Cobra in June or July of 2010

Wow, more than 14K views since August 31!

Great that you got the engine installed today. I can well imagine how great that must feel.

Yep, we were pit neighbors at NED. I noticed the car matched up between your Youtube channel and some old pics/videos I have from in the pits.

Glad you got the motor back in, guess that should make it no longer for sale even though the kid ghosted. It will be fun for you to take a drive soon!

I wish our DQ was decent out here.

Last time I went I got a grilled cheese (wife's suggestion) and a small heath blizzard.

It gave me the shits.

I can eat at Taco bell, Del Taco, Chipotle, Qdoba, Indian food, Chinese, etc and be fine.

A ****ing single grilled cheese and a heath blizzard turn me into a squirt gun.

My favorite blizzard is the s’mores blizzard. Our DQ’s out here are hit or miss. Sometimes you get a blizzard with a good amount of toppings, others it might as well be vanilla ice cream. I hear AustinJ427! I have had DQ a couple of times were it felt like I had rocks going through my intestines, I don’t know what the hell they put in that one. I wish there was more consistency with these places.
