@1 Alibi 2 , it is actually labeled ice milk, not ice cream. I've known this since I was a kid. Carvel has a soft serve and it's labeled ice cream because it has more milkfat. My favorite frozen concoction is Rita's Frozen Custard, in Southington.

Here's an explanation from MSN.

Why isn’t Dairy Queen soft serve ice cream?

To earn an “ice cream” categorization, a product must have a minimum milkfat (or butterfat, as DQ calls it) content of 10%. DQ’s soft serve, meanwhile, has just five percent milkfat.

“Technically, our soft serve does not qualify to be called ice cream,” the Dairy Queen site fesses up. The company also explains that its famous soft serve once fell into the FDA’s category of “ice milk.” But the FDA scrapped that category of product to allow companies to market their frozen dairy products with lower milkfat content using terms like “low-fat” and “reduced fat.”

Dairy Queen’s soft serve does fit into the FDA’s “reduced-fat” category, and its shake mix would count as “low-fat,” the company website explains, but the company has never marked it that way.

Speaking of flipping blizzards...

I was at the DQ in Clinton, Missouri on my way to or from a business conference in Branson. The older gentleman in front of me ordered an M&M Blizzard. Pretty small place so he just waited there while they made it. They came back and flipped it, and the same time he put his hand out to grab it. Everything would've been fine, because the cashier lady held the cup higher than the man put his hand, UNTIL the entire blizzard fell out of the cup and landed all over his hand.

I wanted to laugh so badly, but he was PISSED.

Reminds me of coning...

7-8 years ago when "Coning" was the fad, my sister's ex boyfriend "coned" the same McDonalds 4-5 times in a row. The 5th time, the police were waiting for him. The video is probably still on Youtube.

We're reluctant to go to the local Dairy Queen. If the younger kids are working there, you're absolutely fine- they seem generally clean. The owner has some downright horrible hygiene habits. He's a generally crusty fellow to begin with, but we watched him pluck a massive nose puppy and wipe it on the mixer while he was stirring up our blizzards. If we pull in and he's there, we leave without getting anything. If you find the reviews online for the place, we're not the only ones who have witnessed his nastiness.

I tried to get the franchisee from Worcester to come up to a site I had in Leominster, but he passed.

I di a deal with a Popeyes instead, and they are killing it here.

You sold outta the chicken sammich? My wife got one at the local one here and said it was really good.

I saw a video of the cobra years ago, loved the car! Still one of the best in my eyes, the sonic blue with the classics(god I would hate to clean those). I had hopes that the kid would come through. He probably didn’t have the credit score, and I know most banks will look at book value that’s WAY off to actual value so he could only borrow 14-15k at best. I had a great experience buying my car from this site, wasn’t done overnight but we had good communications. It took a few weeks but it all worked out great and we were both happy, no surprises I don’t think.
Who knows, maybe he will have cash in hand next weekend or you get the car back together before your mechanic goes under the knife? I would have some lingering regrets for selling it myself, so hopefully it’s back and driven soon! I lost faith in my project finding a fabrication shop that had time to finish mine and extremely happy to be driving a car now. So still some regrets on not finishing mine but thrilled that I can drive the TT cobra down to the local DQ so they can tell me they can’t make a strawberry Golden Oreo blizzard

We don't sell out of anything. What you think we are, amateurs? Haha
