I just read the newest posts. So dad didn't know about co-signing on a loan. Explains why the kid was alone at the bank. Assuming he WAS at the bank. What a mess, but it's good that you called his dad and you're stepping away. As someone already said, had you closed the deal you probably would have gotten call after call with questions, concerns, etc. There is probably a silver lining in the ending of this saga.

To recap, his dad said he didn't believe his son would just be pulling my leg, or giving me a hard time. Said that didn't sound like him.
Told me he would call his son and get back to me. Well, it's been 4 hours and no call back.
So it's safe to say, I believe this saga is done. It's been one hell of a ride haha
