So I built my first gaming PC last month with AMD’ 5700XT and Ryzen 3600x. Even with the washer mod, thermal paste, and undervolt, I’d still like it to run cooler. Everything is encased in a NZXT 500 case which I see now isn’t really built for a water cooled setup. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a case that will support water cooling without breaking the bank? Pic below for reference.

Don't do it! It's not worth it, just get a cheap fan pushing into your current case and keep the air moving. That's what I do for my PLEX/Media server

I really don’t want to. But, the 5700xt reference card runs a bit warm because it’s a blower style cooler. It’s been shown that the EK waterblock drops the edge temp 35-40°C, and the junction temp about 35°C.

Where do you have the PC/Server located in your house? What specs is it built off of? Water cool-ed systems have some issues and risks

There are various radiators / liquid coolers on the market. I have this one with my main rig and have had zero issues.

Is that a top or lower mounted system? Lower would make me more at ease because the MB, HD or SSD configuration plus power supply would be mostly out of harm's way, the only consideration is heat rises but I know people love using clear enclosures but maybe leave it open for extra heat distribution.

I have a cube case for another rig with a Kraken radiator cooler. It also works good.

NICE RIG! My hat's off to you! I cheaped mine out haha. I built mine off a HP Z230 Intel - Xeon E3 1230 v3 @ 3.30 overclocked with 32 GB ram. It's a older gen but I raided it with 4 SSD's and tossed in with 12 TB of HHD space and a GFX card which i remember was 1600 series ( again is nothing compared to new age stuff ).

The radiators are mounted at the top of both cases with two extraction fans each. The power supply sits at the bottom of the cases. The cases are lifted at the bottom so air can be drawn into the PSU and heat is then extracted by the built-in fan of the PSU.

The memory and CPU is just below the radiator. So warm air rises and is then extracted by the radiator fans. I have the I9 overclocked and have zero issues. The main rig has 128 GB RAM and the Cube Rig has 64 GB RAM which I might upgrade to 128 GB. They both use the same Asus TUF motherboard which is not the most expensive or fanciest model but it gets the job done and appears to be well TUF! It does not have built-in WIFI or dual Ethernet but for me that's not an issue since I never utilized dual NICs and I have a Cisco / Linksys Wifi USB adaptor that works great - I just plug it into an available port if the computer is not at a hard wired location.

Thanks. This is one of those turnkey liquid cooling solutions. Custom builders like JayzTwoCents build rigs with custom plumbing where the liquid is added afterwards and I can imagine those could leak if not done right.

Here is a build he did for Terry Crews! Terry appears to be quite a geek lol!

GOD DANG that sucker is built! You should be running a mini data center on those specs, JESUS! Which is faster, your car or PC? ha

I will say the power supply worries me but to each is their own on mounting.

I'd love to run 128gb gaming wise I don't do as much plus I don't need it but your system is baller, the only key thing I can say is I got my stuff for free but clearly you baller-ed it up

Nice. My computer is a little over 2 years old now. I don't plan on upgrading for another 8 years. When I build computers they last for 10 years +. I have rigs that still work and are 15-20 years old. But they became too slow. I still have them and will probably hold on to them out of curiosity.

We had an original IBM XT in South Africa from 1986 and is lost now. I don't know what happened to it since it was in my sister's house when I left SA. I asked her if she knew where it was and she did not even reply. I would have had it shipped to the USA if it was still there. It had a Hercules graphics card, turbo, 640 KB memory and a green monochrome screen and those large floppy disks. We later added a VGA card and 14" color monitor to it and I did an animation of Italy kicking Sicily which then became a soccer ball in 1990 for the World Cup Soccer. I was also able to morph faces of family members - can't believe I could do that with such limited resources.

Here are 2 cdappy cell shots of my system. It was a lot of work, but has been largely maintenance free for me..

Temps stay in check

Lol the Cobra is louder! But the computer rig earns its keep and has paid for itself many times over.

Ok, but where you have everything placed do you need liquid-cooled as a system in the sqft of its placement? Properly placed it looks to be in a well defined cooled area?
