Good point. Further updates i'll post into a separate thread and provide a link for all those subscribed to this one and interested.

I need to machine up the bushings. Fair warning, this may take me a few weeks
I would probably buy a set as well. Not sure ill ever do this mod but if i do i definitely dont want ti drill.

I saw a post a few days ago by the same guy who was selling the kits with the parts discussed here. He is now selling a bolt on kit that requires no drilling. Does anyone have any knowledge about what parts he is using?

I asked him again; he uses the C7/50th anni brembo 4 pistons but as far as all I’ve seen they are literally the same caliper. He gets real testy easy so we’ll see what he replies with.

@GodStang - According to the seller, your instructions are not good or the proper way to install these.

"the thread posted came from information i gave to a former friend on facebook after helping him with his, But unfortunately there is some wrong info, The calipers are different in alot of ways, also my setups come already modified and ready to go on the car, no drilling required and thats important for some cobra owners as they do not want to permanently modify the spindles in case they want to go back to stock brakes, if you would like to do the diy go ahead but most likely will not have the professional painted caliper, and it will defiantly will not fit nor carry the same quality of install, I do not give my secrets out anymore as that bit me in the ass, I can how ever tell you the way that write up makes you go is not the best way to do install. not even close"

FYI. My modified inserts are mostly done. Test fitting one today and then will machine the others to final fit.

I know some expressed interest in buying a set, but I won’t be able to do that. I did these by hand and it just takes up too much time.

Ya he is pissed because he was ripping people off at over twice the cost. (Was charging over $800 for less than $400 in parts). We are here to help the cobra/mustang community not rip the community off... The info is not wrong he is just trying to make what he has "look" better.

The info I did was from the install I did. If you like it use it. If you don't then don't. I don't really care as I am not losing any money either way. The brakes work great on my car and are light years better than my stock.

If you don’t want to and you don’t mind passing your work off, maybe contact Jameshell at Cobra Engineering and see if he would be interested in taking them on.

I am the one that sells the kits . To clear some things up

I don’t use ats calipers I do not use a j55 caliper They are a j64 style caliper .And a different mounting ear they look the same and dimensions are the same . Because of this I am able to modify the ears correctly so they do not need have your spindle drilled, Also These calipers cost me double what a ats caliper costs so if you think I am getting rich you are crazy . If you want a diy that’s cool but my product is well worth it for someone that wants a good product shipped to your door that will bolt on in 15 minutes

Except you liked to brag you made “so much money off all you dumb cobra people” on Facebook. You did not give this info to anyone you used info that has been out by the ORIGINAL makers of the DYI kit. Hell with the inserts above (possibly being $50) it would take just as long to do. Since you decided it was a good idea to block anyone who opposed you on this topic I can’t show them the things you’ve said the professionalism that was on display.

I hope he gets banned, the guy is no good. Most hated guy of all the sn95 and new edge groups.
