That looks super nice. Lmao, thats a smart seller. Those values are going doowwwnnnnn when the C8 hits the streets if you ask me.

I will guess high 30s. You could get this and walk all over a GT350R on the track for half the price. To boot you wont have to engage in crybaby arguments about how its OK that it drinks oil or has a lame power curve.

I’ll take an LS7 over a Voodoo any day. Even if both engines didn’t have the 2 big problems that they have.
LS3 GS would be a fine car to get if the budget couldn’t allow a Z06.

Heads and Cam cures the problem and you’re looking at 600whp

I’m aware and that’s precisely what I mean. And frankly I believe the C6 Z06 is the better platform. If possible I’d love to do a 454 stroker kit for an LS7. Haven’t researched so I’m unsure if it’s possible with block design.

You and I are aware of the that, but the remedial Ford guys need help. Chevy makes a 454 LSX thats a drop in badass.

How are the cranks on the LS3's?

GT500 guys are spoiled TBH. CJ crank, forged Mahle pistons and Ford GT heads from the factory? If it wasnt for a set of shit PM rods, everyone would be over 1Kwhp haha

I knew about the lsx. My thinking was due to the cylinder lining of the LS7 could be a hindrance in how much bigger you could go. I’ve read the 5.3 and 6.0 can get massive compared to their original displacement.

I only found the 441 kit i linked. Yeah it is stupid what a 5.3 and 6.0 will go to.

**** it bro just go c7 ! I'm thinking about it myself lol. either c7z or c8 ...
So, the 5.Bro was a short lived member of the family? :D :D :D I dont think you can go wrong with that plan at all man.

Personally, Im still sketchy of direct only fuel systems. Full synthetic oil and oil separators help... but lets just say that first hand knowledge of the IS250's direct injection issues is enough for me to stick with the C6's LS3 when the time for a Vette happens!

well... I love my stang. I really do. I have ALWAYS had a mustang. I just think I enjoy the "change". usually I have my cars 1-2 years LOL. sometimes I will keep them 4 years plus. Definitely a problem I have. But the c8 .....goddamn it just looks so sexy. Once I see it in person I will decide. if not I will buy a C7Z and hopefully at a good price.

As far as the DFI ...I understand your fear. The ecoboost motor is the same bull shit. The valves get ****ED and you have to have a catch can system to pick up all the sludge in the intake system. However, if it's a low mileage engine, it shouldn't be an issue. Usually it's about 100k miles before the valves get caked and you start seeing issues.

The crybaby arguments just change to whether the ls7 has valve issues or not and how to fix it.

Although, it has not been proven that reworked LS7 heads are the solution. I haven't followed it much since I sold my Z06, so perhaps aftermarket heads are the solution. I do know, firsthand, that my reworked LS7 heads were starting to show signs of excessive guide wear after ~8k miles (with a .651" lift cam and stock rockers).

Y'all got me looking at Corvettes, but there are so many trim levels, ahhhhhh! How do you know what to look for, avoid, etc.? My price range would be no higher than mid 40's.

100%.

Forgot to mention that. C5Z is not for pussies. Rawest car I have ever owned. It’s a damn GO-Kart. It made terminators feel tame in comparison.

No way, the vette was a more well balanced car starting with the trans and rear end splines, it was built to take the abuse where the cobra was a straight-up crap shot

Yes way.

Yes it was more balanced that the cobra since the c5z was a driver’s car and the cobra had the agility of a baked potato, but still had a more raw feel.

I have to question your thoughts sir.

The T56 in both trans were totally different, the vette had a 26 spline input and the cobra had a 10, the outputs I believe were 31? So I will take a pass on that bundle. The Cobra had wayyyyy softer bushings compared to the C5Z, hell even the half shafts had a strong spline which I'm sorry I can't rattle off the top of my head but were well above 10 spline... Stock for stock I will shake your hand on the violence feeling but you've been here and seen or raced as much as me but I will admit stock for stock the vette wins but a modded cobra wins bang to buck. Your still my bro and I love your car!
