I gave up on local tunes. Try looking into remote tuning. If you have a laptop it’s pretty easy. There’s a few great tuners that are members here or you could always go with VMP remote tunes as well. I currently have a 91octane VMP tune and the car runs great.

eh, have to agree about local tunes. To me they're notch above a canned tune. I gave up also and starting tuning myself with much better results. Guess it depends on your mods and what you're doing with the car. I'd invest in the software and self tune.
Everyone that told be about the good places to go, I left disappoint and out money.
If you have a high horsepower / highly modded car I won't recommend anyone local. They'll leave a lot left on the table or throw you some bs. because they really don't know much more than you.
Tune it yourself and ask questions on here if you get stuck, you wont be disappointed.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am thinking along those lines but right now it's not running. At all.

A little more background: '07 GT with 112k. I got it last March and put on Airraid CAI and Magnaflow 3" cat backs, MGW shifter. She was dyno tuned at that time and running great. This spring added Exceedy Stage 2 clutch and comp flywheel. After a breakin period of 600 miles I had her on a brief run up to 125 where I had plenty left and I let off the gas then got back on coming out of a curve and it immediately sounded just a bit different. Then I could feel the throttle wasn't right and then it started missing. Bad.

Towed to my tuner where he changed 2 coils (1 & 3) based on the codes she was spitting and new plugs. Started throwing more codes, all over the map. Cleaned the AMS, TBs, injectors. Still nuts. So he ordered a new PCM and it sat for weeks. I had it towed to local Ford dealer to program the PCM and PATS then back to him. After it sat for another 3 weeks he told me he's GM guy and doesn't know Fords and to get it out of there.

Now it's in my garage and I can't even get it to idle long enough to read anything off of it. I'm worried I fried a valve or worse. Going to do a compression test and see where the motor is at... I'm not a great wrench by any stretch so I really need a good shop that actually knows s197 Mustangs.

Local tuning in WI...Brew City Boost in Hubertus...Marv formerly of C&M Performance is their in-house Mustang guru nowadays. Just did my lower, BAP wiring kit, and fresh tune. Car runs better than ever.

Heard a few things about him, both good and bad. How was pricing?

It cost me less than i had expected considering he essentially dyno tuned the car twice. BAP needed more juice to maintain fuel pressure in the rails above 5k. Had it dialed in safely at 574whp, but we decided to beef up the wiring to be safe. Installed the wiring kit, put her back on the rollers, and got it to the numbers in my sig. Metco 2lb lower kit, belt, BAP wiring, labor including cleaning up some of the vacuum routing, and two trips to the dyno cost me $1600. Couldn’t be happier with the results. He’s a straight shooter too. Friend of mine took his bpu ‘04 Cobra to him to freshen up the tune. Also turned out beautifully. Not to mention, Kelly (owner of Brew City Boost) is awesome to work with as well.

This is where I plan on taking my RS for tuning and modding once the factory warranty is up, been hearing and seeing very good things about @BrewCityBoost and Marv was the go to man when he was with C&M Performance!

I was working on tuning my RS before Brew City had their dyno so I went a different route. Nowadays I believe Marv does all the Mustang tuning and Kelly does the Ecoboost stuff.

My brother and I went to the cruise that was in June and had a great time. Couldn’t make it to the August one. A lot of really cool cars! Seen 2 other terminators (zinc yellow, sonic blue). Joel puts it together and does a great job.
On a side note. If he does these next year, it would be cool to see how many terminators we could get to come. Maybe a upper midwest terminator meetup?

Furo racecraft is in Stevens Point WI. Maybe further north than you want, but I’ve seen some really nice stuff come out of that shop. He does cages there.
