I've got a bit to mow myself. Basically the entire south side of the road gets mowed. Sat pic is a few years old now, as everything is more cleaned up and all the cars are gone.

Got a steal on an old cub cadet with 400 hours and a blown muffler. It's only 48 inch unfortunately, and has a 16hp Kohler on it, but it mows well. I throw mini me on it for close to 4 hours and it's done.

I’m actually impressed. Done ton of research. It was between that and a Toro which the dealer one block down from my office sells both. They can’t get these things fast enough. I like the better deck, arm rests and better drives. Not a stamped deck, but fabricated. Kawasaki is what wanted all along too.

Been green and yellow for 15 years Todd. Ratings are unreal on these, and I tested one today. Real steel deck, not stamped. Needs to be ordered though. Can’t keep them in stock. This is going through a actual dealer, not HD or shit.

Besides the Kawasaki motor, this is probably the most important part. You'd have zero customer support buying from a big box store.

Buying this one. Better deck and drive s.
CubCadet - ZT2 50

I'm looking to buy a new ZT mower in the next month or so and am trying to decide between this one, the ZT2 50, and the John Deere 355r, idk which way to go. Z300 Series ZTrak™ Mowers | Z355R 48-in. Deck | John Deere US I like how the CC zt2 is a little more robust than the zt1 version, I also like the 2" square tube frame on the CC versus all the plastic and sheet metal on the JD. But then I keep hearing how the JD is like the gold standard for cut quality, it's the one the others compare theirs too. I'm a noob at these so I'm just repeating what I hear. So, idk, yous guys got any suggestions?

My coworker just bought a real JD tractor(not sure which one) and he said he loves the tractor, but not the deck. It doesn't cut as good as his old one. Remember, he's talking about a tractor and not a ZT.

My John Deere doesn't cut as nice as my eXmark. I don't like JD's cut but what I cut with it isn't that important.
My Cub cuts beautiful but I don't compare to the other 2 because of the size.

Dont know how tough you are on your mowers....
My parents have an old Tank 50 Cub Cadet, its a good mower but....
Those deck wheels (if they are like the ones on my parents) actually can break off easily as they are only supported on one side....ask me how I found that one out.

No issues with gouge wheels on my 15 year old Deere.

On the topic of zero turns what is the general opinion of a scag patriot.

While earlier in this thread I mentioned I love my JD 2520, on my new property it is just over kill for my new needs which are pretty much all grass cutting with many tight spaces and double the acres of my last house. Thinking of selling the 2520 and scooping up a zero turn and snow blower and likely have enough left over to buy a shed to toss it all in so a score extra garage space back.

I looked at them, just to rich for my blood based on my needs. Nice mowers though. I personally would go Xmarks before those though. My new gets delivered at 8 tomorrow. Finally, lol.
