I'm really surprised no one has no interest in this car considering it has a terminator swap.
Its a very nice looking car. Issue maybe its not legally smogable in ca. I could be wrong but did not see a bar sticker under the hood.

Thanks for the replies everyone. To clarify a few things:
  • As mentioned, pictures are on the craigslist post and I'm happy to provide anything else as requested. Didn't see the need to post pictures on multiple platforms vs just one, sorry if this offends anyone for some reason.
  • The reason I will not ship is I am not comfortable with the liability associated with this process. I am more than happy to see this car go anywhere, as long as it's not under my liability to oversee the process. Just my personal stance. I would also prefer the buyer to actually see what they're getting in person vs remote sale.
  • As a fox enthusiast and someone who happens to be really passionate about this particular car/swap, I would prefer it to go to an owner who's just as passionate as I am. Call it misguided if you'd like, but I'd prefer to see this car actually being enjoyed and improved upon vs in a collectors warehouse, parted out within two months, etc. You could assume anyone who's paying this price for a fox fits the bill, and maybe that's the case, if so - great.
  • Correct - this car is not yet BAR certified. I had a very strict criteria when searching for a swap as this was my ultimate goal: full harness/ECU vs standalone, EGR/all emissions equipment present, cobra tank/accessories, stock/near stock engine, etc. It's a path I wanted to go down but prior to the tune there was a minor EVAP leak code preventing me from going to the referee. One mechanic supposedly did a thorough check of the whole system but couldn't figure it out. I don't have the diagnostic ability to track this down myself so I was looking at trying a different shop this winter to figure it out. I did read somewhere that it might be possible to get through the state referee if there's only 1 code and you've proven to try and get it repaired, but I haven't verified this with a referee.
Happy to answer any other questions.

Interesting. You know how I determine this? Is buyer purchasing my vehicle.
1) "Yes"
2) "No"

If "1" then yes.

Fair enough ;).

I just recently sold a C2 corvette. Out of the hundreds of emails there was a wide range of interested buyers - teenagers who wanted a project, hardcore C2 fans, dealerships, collectors who just wanted another car in their lineup, etc. Hard to package that up as all who were interested had the same level of passion. The car was in my family since '66. I sold it for a lot less than the highest offer but I sleep well at night knowing it went to what I feel was the best home. Not quite the same emotional attachment to this car but I guess for me this happens to be important.

I have two mod swapped notches and have kept in touch with the previous owners for years. They also cared who they sold it to and so will I. I spent a lot of time working on the cars and enjoy them thoroughly with my family. In fact one of them flew in to CA from Florida a few months ago and we went out to dinner and talked about mustangs. The fact that the OP cares, goes a long way. Chances are he's probably not the guy who is going to sell the car and disappear.

Due to the circumstances, I'm willing to negotiate the price significantly with out of state buyers who can accommodate pickup and transact soon.

Pm me details, I can't seem to send DM's.. I'm just up in Oregon and can make this happen for the right price.
