Which is better, TVS or Centri. I know that is a subjective question but who cares.
My new VMP Gen 3R arrived today.

I should have listened to you guys when you recommend the VMP
https://www.svtperformance.com/threads/talk-to-me-about-fi-single-vs-twin-vs-centi-vs-tvs.1145072/
but I went with the Paxton instead. It will be for sale in the classifieds soon. There was no issues with the Paxton and the people at Paxton/Vortech were great but it wasn't the right set up for me.
So I decided to change course and go with the VMP Gen 3R.
I will post dyno results as soon as I get installed.

So has anyone else gone from a Paxton to a VMP? And how's the install on the VMP?
Any particular difficulties?

The Car 2014 6r80 3.15 GT. It'll never see a track as they are strict on tech around here.

Looking forward to the horsepower numbers!

Thanks, I briefly went through the boxes and everything looks good. I can't wait to get started on the install.

Should be a hell of a ride!

Skel looks excited...if he could only smile.

Oh that's just Frank, he watches over the flowers.

That's gonna be fun! The VMP Gen3R is a monster and flows so good. I watch a lot of the VMP videos and I'm impressed.
Congrats and keep us posted.

Well it's done! A little review on the VMP GEN3R from a former Paxton guy. First off thanks to everyone @ VMP for all the help. They were always quick to respond, even nights and weekends.

The results. This thing is ridiculous. I knew I would have a lot more torque down low but I wasn't expecting it to pull so hard up top. With the Paxton I put down 605 rwhp, and it pulled hard from 5,000 rpm to 7200. Below that it felt mostly stock. The Gen3r fills in the gaps. Roll on the throttle from 2500 rpms and it just checks out, stacking, power, leading to a violent surge all the way to redline.

To sum it up, It's a BEAST.

It has totally transformed my car and made want to drive it more. A night and day difference between the Centri and this.

The install is relatively easy. The engine cover, I put a Wood/Nail blade on my sawzall and cut it in 5 minutes, making sure to tape off everything.

My only complaint is the damn aspirator. Damn near half of my install time was reading, searching, watching videos, trying to figure the damn thing out. My 2014 A6 was nothing like the instructions or the S550 video. But with the help of you all here I got it straightened out. $2 worth of vacuum hose & a $.05 cap. I think if Justin added up all the time he spends trying to explain how it works vs the $2.05 cost of the fix, it would probably worth his while to include it.

But all in all the install is very simple and much less involved than the Paxton. I could probably install it in 6-8 hours from bumper off to bumper on and start up.

Stay tuned for the

dyno results.
