I have my calipers at Joel Charles place being machined right now. My question is would it be possible to drill the holes 6mm inboard to eliminate trimming the pads?

That may work but I would worry about opening them up that much. removing the 6mm on the pad takes less than 5 mins. Also we are trying to find a bigger rotor that takes up that 6mm so that we will have a bigger radius to help with stopping.

StopTech makes some 13.5" rotors, P/N 127.61044 and 127.61045 or 128.61044 and 128.61045. Will these work?

You would think 6mm which is almost .25" which is half the .5" (radius) would be perfect, but without mounting them up I don't know.

Where did you get the brake pads caliper pins from?

Great thread. Maybe some of you saw the post in the Terminator Parts for Sale forum earlier this week. It was deleted today as the guy came off as shady. Anyway, he was saying his kit used the C7 caliper. I think someone called him on that and asked if it was the ATS. He said it wasn't. Anyway, I started looking at this more closely as I had never known about this brake upgrade option.

FWIW, I think what I have concluded is that the ATS and Base C7 caliper are the same casting with the exact same bore, 4 x 42mm. And "I think" that the Vette Z51 package, CTS-V, Camaro SS calipers are the exact same bore as the ATS and base C7 except that the caliper mounting has been extended to accept the larger rotor for the performance packages.

Back to shady guy's kit, he was offering the whole thing with pads and rotors and made some mention of using the mustang track pack pads? The post is gone now and I cant recall the year range he noted for the pads. So how would you use the mustang pads on these Brembo calipers? Was that BS? Or was he onto something as he claimed to use the stock rotors...

If I remember correctly it was 11-14 but poking around LMR it seems to be all years track pack brembos.

That is one of the main reasons I made this Thread was he was charging $800 for the "kit" in the beginning. For about $400 in parts. Everyone one of his ads has a different story so not sure which to believe. I know the parts I listed on post 1 work as I did the install. I am not sure on the others.

Are the caddy pads the same as the vette or track pack pads??? I would need both to compare or a caliper and a trackpack pad to see if it would work without trimming.

Disregard the following that I posted. A little more research finds that I am not the first to find these. Too many issues with the mechanical to make the cheap calipers work. Better off with the ATS.
.........................................................
Not to bounce around too much here, but in searching for pad fitment I found these Ford Brembo 4 piston calipers that are reconditioned and offered by Cardone P/N 18-5129 (cross reference to Ford P/N 7R3Z2B120A). These can be found on RockAuto, Summit Racing, etc. Piston sizes are 40mm and 44mm. These are super cheap. Does anyone know if the mounting dimensions work?

Food for thought?

Not to mention the guy is a complete tool. I asked him some questions and he instantly started off name calling and stuff of that sort. Not a professional dude at all. He claims the Camaro and vette calipers bolt directly to the hub no milling and nothing at all needed. Anyone who tells him different he blocks like myself.

Yup, that dude was shady as could be, wouldn't answer any real questions.

That might have been me that called him out. Others may have too, so many threads on this topic going on. I think it was newer track pack pads he was saying fit, I have no idea if they actually fit or not.

The two guys I mentioned in the first post who I got the instructions from I know called him out because I saw it. I saw that he changed his name on Facebook.

Guys, no luck finding a pad that will work, maybe a 13.5" rotor would be good....

Corvette C5/C6 Z51 rotors are 13.4" in diameter, and 1.25" thick. The bolt pattern is incorrect, but it's possible it could be redrilled for the SN95 bolt pattern. The corvette hat is also 1.9-2.0" vs the 1.7" on the cobra rotors Economy Rotors are pretty cheap for experimentation purposes.

I have Corvette C6 calipers on my car and was looking into the ATS swap a bit. I've gather some parts but was curious to see if the Z51 rotor would adapt. I just haven't bought one yet. I'm hoping it will mount up (once redrilled) and eliminate the need to machine the ATS caliper or cut down the pad material. In fact, might need a small washer or spacer to move the caliper inboard for the deeper corvette rotor hat. This would give you additional clearance for wheel spokes as well

I was able to cut down a 14" GT500 rotor to 13.1" to use with my C6 calipers. Gave me a 13" x 1.25" rotor. Fit fine.

Haven't tried any of this yet with the ATS calipers...but some info if someone wants to try it. My intention was to buy a $20 Z51 rotor, backyard hand drill the lug pattern to SN95 and test fit it all to see if it was plausible. I lack time though
