Considering buying these cheap retrofits HID Xenon + 99-04 Ford Mustang [Retro Style] Projector Headlights - Black

Any idea how difficult it may be to open up and paint the chrome black ?

Don’t do it!!!

I made a thread on a Morimoto MH-1 retrofit project.

Opening up the lights is the hardest part. If you are willing to do that, just buy the $80 eagle eye replica lights which are the BEST light out there IMO and buy a full Morimoto retrofit kit for $240 and do the whole project right.

Bad projectors and housings will be a regretful waste of money IMO.

My son got me the sequential brake light from Carbon Driven. It's a really nice piece.

Going to try and stay on 93 for as long as I can. I want at least 650 to the wheels. I have full exhaust set up. Will have to change the fuel system.

Thats really keeping that beast of a blower handcuffed and caged on that junky pump gas.....what is the lowest rpm/boost you can pulley that gen4 to? Regardless....It's going to have to be an ultra conservative timing tune to be able to run 93.....hopefully it's not too lazy low and mid range

What a waste, i can't Imagine how boring that 2.9 will be on pump gas. Should have gone 2.3 if staying on gas.

I bought it for future plans. Not sure what my plans are, but wanted to future proof the car. I’m not going to swamping blowers all the time. One time purchase. I may do a combo where I switch back and forth on the fuel if I need to. Regardless, the option to do what I want is there.

I hear ya... the shop said that they can set the car up to go back and forth between 93 and E85, so that’s what I probably will do. Wanted to future proof the car that’s why I went with the 2.9. I’ll be able to continue to run with everyone if I go full out E85.

She’s probably getting jealous of all the attention the fox body has been getting lol. I wanted to take mine out this weekend drove my fox to work this past Tuesday. But Mother Nature had other plans oh well.

You are correct. I've pretty much got what needed to be done on notch completed. Pretty soon the cobra is coming back home and the notch in the storage unit. It's a nice clean unit though.

I just really want this clutch broke in, so I can have some fun.

That's the way to do it. You might consider a lower boost setup than max when you get going on the ethanol tune....unless you're ready for the head studs by then. That blower is nasty full tilt, it's definitely capable of 800 on a factory motor and heavy levels of TQ

Keep in mind the bus reading on the alternator is usually .5-.8 volts lower than actual voltage at the alternator.
I actually tested this theory and mine was exactly the same.

I tested volts at the battery and checked what the aeroforce gauge was reading. Most said it would be about .5 different.

I think this is the silliest argument against larger blowers. I made 685rwhp/605rwtq on pump 91 octane with a 3.4L Whipple pullied with a 3.5"/6.55" lower. (It was 17psi at 3400ft elevation, sea level would have been 20-21psi) It never felt lazy and trapped 134mph at 3400ft elevation. With my big bore motor its showing 15psi now on the same pulley combo.

It would be way better on E85, but the big blowers aren't lazy down low!

If you don't have easy access to E85 it will be fine on lower boost.
