I'm questioning why we're still having hearings about this because I don't know the answer. I'm further questioning why, of all the people who work so very hard for the people who suffered in 9/11, THIS guy gets an invitation to Congress, especially given he's a first rate jackass, this particular issue not withstanding.

I don't know either, so I googled it. Seems since he has a voice, he has been an activist for 9/11 responders. Here's him on the today show a year ago: Jon Stewart joins former 9/11 responders in call for health care

Here he is doing the same, earlier this year: Jon Stewart, advocates for 9/11 first responders are tired of visiting Congress

Well despite you said you agree with him, you also decided to bring in politics and make this about Trump, just because he doesn't like Trump. Well....what has Trump done about this? I think 99% of Americans will agree that the first responders of 9/11 are true heros. Why isn't their health care fully covered? Why isn't Trump tweeting about this issue today, calling for legislation to be passed ASAP? It will be easy to say Obama never fixed the problem, but he's out of office. Trump is in, and here we are, with our first responders still suffering.

Hey Kevin man,
I should of explained that more but wanted my post to be about the heroes of 9/11 and the issue at hand.
I just don’t agree with his point of view outside of this or that he uses his platform to trash the president. (As his right too but it’s just not my view so I don’t pay him any mind) Yes I support the president but I totally respect him (Stewart) for this. It’s a shame neither president has stepped up for them.
I don’t think any president is without fault but he has a golden opportunity to do right here. Fingers crossed

This is par for the course young man! Expecting the ruling class to act any different, just hasn't watched the merry-go-round run.

One day it will click for you! Until then, I'll look at you as spectator with no real knowledge just absent minded opinion.

Simply pathetic. YOU are the one making this democrat vs republican. John just demanded proper care for these folks you say are heros, but our government (currently ran by Trump) is treating them like shit.

If I understood the news correctly today, the initial funding was 7 billion. They have paid out 5 billion. If current spending rates continue, we have more than 6 yrs of funds left.

So it seems money isn’t the issue at the current moment. Seems they are concerned about more money down the road.

Or is this a service issue; not able to see Drs?

Either way, good preview into Gov provided/funded healthcare!

So Obama is 400% more at fault since he owns 8yrs of this horrible treatment.

Fair enough. Obama treats heroes like shit 400% more than Trump.

Yes and no. I'm all for continuing funding for continuing problems.

Fair enough. Then don't you think an agreement on what that continuing funding should be should've been reached by now? My point is, nothing of this nature should take 18 years to handle if all parties are interested in doing the right thing.

Ah John Stewart or shall we say Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz doing what fake Jews do best: Being Activists.

Who told them to be these activists? Why do they gravitate to it like moths to a flame? I'd like them a lot more if they just minded their own damn business.

Forget about calling me Anti Semitic. DNA tests have revealed that Ashkenazi Jews are predominantly European. And my mother has revealed to me that she also has "Jewish" ancestry lol! So maybe I am a self hating Jew? Anyway we are all related if you go back tens of thousands of years so **** it I hate the actions of my long distant cousins. I am Anti Cousin?

Not that there is anything wrong with getting help for the fireman and police. I support that too.

I just doubt his real reasons and motivations. He is doing it possibly to score points and make people think: "Hey we Jews are good guys". Remember the dancing, jubilant Israeli's in New York on 9/11? If not go read up on it. They were detained and released. And Larry Silverstein asked them to pull WTC 7. Got a good insurance deal out of it also I believe. I find in interesting that the Freedom Tower resembles the Star of David. Nice symbolism there.

And then here is Mr. Stewart the hero on the border crisis.

Of course, then Stewart steered the ship into the recent humanitarian crisis surrounding the Trump administration's child separation policy, which, until the signing of a problematic executive order, separated migrant families crossing the U.S. border.

"Boy, you ****ed that up," said Stewart.

Jon Stewart returns to late night for a fierce address to Trump

Why are we still having hearings on 9/11 18 years later?

How did this assclown get an invitation?

What a douchebag comment... Who gives a shit about his political views. The man is sticking up for our first responders.

This has to be the most un-american comment I've read all year.. You should be ashamed!

Anybody have anything on ^^^^^^.

Some of the comments in here read like these folks don’t have anything. Seems to me that they do, and this is on top of their (insert name) government agency healthcare as well as DOL or OWCP for their on the job injury.

I know no system is perfect and they all have their shortcomings, but it appears they are getting cared for.

Really glad you posted this. I heard about it and I’m glad I was able to see it. It’s sickening.
